I'm glad the podcast has responded to feedback about the lack of politics discussion by talking at length about Ava's friend's pee fetish.

Lesbian bath sex, goat matadors, watersports, xl bully underground railroad - that was a scary ten days without you guys.

My favourite bit about these podcasts is when Ava says something that makes Oli put his head in his hands

A snake bite is just half cider and half lager. Sometimes to add some punch there might be some vodka in it (unlikely from a bar), and blackcurrant on occasion. But a snakebite is literally just lager and cider. A good snakebite has white lightning (or frosty jacks etc etc) and a mega strong lager. Back in the olden days (before my day) Guinness and cider was considered a ladies drink. Sometimes people believe the hype or urban myths too much on drinks. I mix drinks all the time, zero effects. Drinking too much however, lots of effects.

That moment where you realise that a good game of Dungeons & Dragons is just an elaborate solution to the question of whether a hogtied Ed or a full-grown atlantic blue lobster would win in a fight. "Ed, you awake in the merman's lair, hogtied and prone. His menacing pet lobster approaches you, claws clacking...roll initiative."

Only the Pubcast can fill the politics-shaped hole in my soul. God how empty and bored I've been this Christmas!

As an ex McDonalds first assistant I am now having nightmares that I come downstairs at 9 pm to count the walk-in only to find the contents of the freezer lining the walls of the corridor as Ollie conducts sessions of gladiatorial lobster combat in the emptied walk-in. The weird thing is that as other listeners that have worked at Maccies can vouch for such a scenario is not all that far fetched especially on a close!

Re snakebite, def a joke - snakebite is 1/2 larger 1/2 cider, sometimes with blackcurrant (snakebite and black) normally the cheapest possible (I remember fosters and strongbow being the best), but def not dregs - unless the bar person hated you...!

Please do a highlights video on the Tory’s worst moments if one can call them that, over the last 10 years, if not just this gov. There will no doubt be many voters who have forgotten (given there are so many it’s hard to remember them all) but it is important so that we get rid of the awful people in charge. The same can be applied to labour as well but given they haven’t ruin this country in the last 13 years and I think most labour voters/supports are self aware. But Tory voters seem to really forget the awful things or not have an awareness of them.

Totally with Ava on how irritating it is when people think dry January is a reason to deify them.

The strangest date i ever had. The conversation turned to water sports and i said "I don't get the appeal. Surely you cant sleep in a wet bed" She laughed and said "No that's not how you do it!. "I don't hear these big take downs written about men" Erm... what world does Ava live in? Men literally can't enjoy anything without it being a problem to somebody. Typically about how misogynist it is, or how it excludes marginalised people, or how it's all about preserving the patriarchy. I don't disagree with the underlying point... that women can just enjoy things... but how the hell did that pass muster. It's about as far from a true statement as it is possible to make. Men get "taken down" for different reasons, but we ABSOLUTELY get taken down over everything. ANd I'd say it's actually substantially more common than for women. I don't remember much stir about 50 shades or Twilight, despite how problematic those particular things are if you want to be all absurd with over analysing rather than just letting people enjoy what they want. (which is obviously the best options) The Barbie movie SHOULD have been an expression of feminine joy, for sure. But it absolutely did contain a feminist message (probably the only bad part of the movie?) and I think without that it would have gotten heaps of hate from certain people, rather than the half a dozen conservative talking heads that everyone made fun of for caring so much. Hell, it got plenty of criticism because men enjoyed it too much (particularly because the movie did seem to recognise that men shouldn't just be disposable accessories, as Ken has historically been without complaint :P) I certainly remember "I'm Kenough" being hated by the fun police because "Barbie isn't for men!" ;)
