Just started to enjoy a PL-680 on this Christmas day 2023... I first heard about it from Reviewbrah a while back ago and recently got serious about acquiring something and figured it was a good starting point... Started to research shortwave and found your channel and ultimately settled on the 680... Turned it on this early afternoon and didn't hear much was a little unsettled until I watched one of your videos on helping tips for beginners... Namely 15000 and below at night in North America... Earlier tonight heared some great ham in the 7000 range.... Learning thanks to you, much appreciated, thanks and God bless you and yours brother Merry Christmas !
I did the same thing with my Tecsun 501h today, and ended up switching to my Mallahit DSP2 clone. More and more, I am falling in love with radio again...
Merry Christmas. Was scanning on my new Tecsun 880; heard music w/ English lyrics at 17650 (18:15 UTC) w/ some other language between songs, maybe German or Dutch. Very strong signal, but after just a few minutes, nothing! Nothing on the frequency guide made sense. Anyway, lots out there today.
Enjoyed these video today. I ordered an H501x today. Really looking forward to trying it. I also have an xhdata 109WB on order. Since it has weather band and better audio, it will be replacing my CCSkywave in my work bag. It will also double as a Bluetooth speaker in my work bag. Despite the FM breakthrough, it has enough going for it to be good for work travel I believe.
