While one understands the quick save of re-using songs, but at the same time looking back it only makes them feel more timeless. That you can hear different characters sing the same songs. Maybe one day WBAnimation can dust off at least one of the recurring songs and put it to use in a new Scooby or Tom and jerry christmas movie.

I swear, it felt like every single H-B Christmas cartoon had a version of this song.

I remembered this. I saw the first special and loved it. Then I saw the Flintstones one years later and knew they had copied. My question is why do they clean the 70s cartoons, but not the 80s ones, this video clear shows the difference when a cartoon is remastered.

i watched a christmas story so many times the tape wore out. never saw the flintstones version, how interesting that more people are more familiar with that one! wish there was more footage from a christmas story on youtube :/ what a cute little story

Yeah the Christmas Story (animated version) was something I use to watch all the time when I was little, and over the years I did notice both the animated and the movie have the exact same title which can confuse to most people. Nice comparison of this video btw.

I remembered the song and remembered it was used in different Christmas specials but couldn't remember where. I have to admit it's a bit jarring to see Fred and Barny in this song. I can't remember the context.

First.

A Christmas Story Animation looks superior. The Character creations for the Santa's on the left remind of of Mr. Zuckerman from Charlotte's Web. The Flintstones looks cheap in comparison.
