Gary, I love your channel. I've learned more about hunting and detecting from your "skills" channel than from any other site, anywhere. I'm a little thick headed when it comes to using my Deus II but you've helped me understand many things about the machine. I'll prob be combing through your vids for years. Thank you for the time and effort you provide here. Amazing and so interesting. Hunters in the British Isles are so fortunate to hunt old fields that have been covered by ancient history. Here in America the closest we can get is a battlefield that we're not allowed to hunt or a beach. Old homesites have a lot of rusty iron but no real treasures, at least none that I've found, however when I was around 16-17, using an ancient Garrett I believe, I hunted an old homesite that my great grandmother had lived in for a while. I found an iron skillet and a butcher knife that were very likely well over 100 years old and rusted, nearly beyond recognition.
Awesome video as always Gary. Just received my deus2 today with the 9” coil, looks fantastic. Watched this video 3-4times and put your settings for General no1 and saved. Giving a go on a club dig where lots off hammereds and Roman coins wish me well. Thanks for sharing mate
Bonsoir Gary, merci pour cette vidéo que je vais regarder une autre fois pour voir les réglages de la fin; bonne soirée et toujours très bien faites les vidéo.. Merci a bientôt Alex et Toch
@@The-skillschool This is so instructive too, as about D1 than about English learning. For the French guy I'm, it's precious to understand. Your videos are one of my favourite practice for that. Thanks again
Really good to catch up with you and Steve mate it was a great day as usual. Nice explanation of the audio responses. This could be why some users are experiencing these high spikes. There, raising audio to high in order to hear the good signals fine if the ground conditions allow but on the busier habitation sites with lots of iron as this field has best to drop audio as you clearly demonstrate in video. Catch up soon 👍
Great video as usual! I’ve just picked up a roman town and villa site so this is exactly the video I needed. What spade is it you use please? Nice Life of Brian tribute btw
I wish I was big enough to have ads LOL. The Audio spikes that you talk about is that surface iron or deep iron. I hunt in high iron sites in PA, USA. I am going to try this out, lower the audio response.
Awesome video as always Gary. Fantastic finds, loving the history lesson. Thinking of buying deus2 can’t decide which coil to get 9” -11” any advice please. Also if I mention your name will I get a discount. Thanks Gary for sharing.
Nice video! But i'm wondering what you may would have found with some settings for a roman site 😅 with disc 10 you won't find much because of the ammount of iron in the ground the cherries are masked. On a roman site prog no.2 sensitive or no.7 mono is best as a platform ✌️
i agree with programme 2 here. best so far on prime roman land was 37 roman coins in a day, yes 38 lol. i use no other programme then programme 2 very little adjustments. just highen the sensitivity to 95 -96. audio response to 5, 2.5 reactivity, silencer, in GB i also lower ground stabilisation to 1 instead of 2. so stable and punches deep too. also works great in amongst iron, in crazy infested i up reactivity to 3. programme 2 finds silver alot and small silver too especially cut halfs and those farthings many people miss with other machines
Hi Kyle I can't take guests at the moment as I am so busy with other commitments. Try Pete and Sarah at the Weekend Wanderers club I know they do UK tours and I very often do a training day for the visitors.
