After watching this video and the camera comparison video. I can truly tell that the new changes and improvements are significant enough between the two models. Is like the fix and improve all the issues than the previous model had. In my opinion, I am pretty sure that anyone who purchased the Xperia 1 IV will not have to change to a new phone in the next two years
30%!? In sweden a 1 III kosts 12990 krowns and a 1 IV 13990. I dollar is about 10 krowns. Ish. So i whould say it kosts about 1300 dollars. And the IV about 100 bucks more. Weird that it is such a difference.
@@Eric-Wall Interesting, in the U.S. the price differences are usually $200-$300 at least. Currently a sale is going on for the 1 III and its only $650.
Great video! I was actually looking for an in deep review of the phone itself, I'm so tired of reviews where some person's face has more screentime that the hardware itself, I really appreciate your approach here Too bad that the 1 iii is running Android 12, I was hoping to see the differences between 11 and 12 on Xperia phones as apparently Sony has replaced "one hand mode" with google ugly implementation and the top right corner has an unused space for camera/mic notifications even tho xperias have a led light, and i wonder how else Android 12 ruins the Xperia' experience (not pun intended lol) so maybe thats a future video idea? Anyways, keep that awesome content coming!
Been waiting for this. Thx. Love my IV. Its a little improvement over the iii at best, nothing ground breaking. But my A9 2018 had 600 nits peak brightness like the 1 iii so I wanted the IV to be brighter and thats what we got! Now do Pro i vs 1 IV with heavy photography and videography tests please.
Not what I needed to know. I wanted to know about technical specs and how well the USB C port gripped. I started with an XZ. I now have a 10 iii, whixh is great. I don't give a toss about the topics you covered.
I love the white, but the way it has the white border around the phone kind of throws me off. I remember I had the red Nexus 5 from back in the day and it had the red border around the phone, which I wasn't a fan of. I mean it gives it a unique look, but I remember getting tired of it over time. But man, that white colour is really nice. I'm torn. lol. I'm probably just going to wait for the black US version as I'm in Canada, anyway.
I don't like max volume audio tests. The sound is full of compression and is generally an unrealistic quality test as usually you aren't blasting your phone at 100%
I want the iv but to much for my pocket..lol I'm going get the iii my be next month. I need the US version cause the international was bad when I had the 1 & ii when it came to phone calls very bad.. other then that I loved both.
Have you noticed any difference in volume when listening through Bluetooth headphones between Xperia 1 III, Xperia 1 IV and Xperia pro i? My Xperia 1 IV sounds quiter for some reason than my Xperia 1 III and Xperia pro i with the same audio settings
Hi, good review, thanks for that - one question: will the Sony Xperia 1 IV drive Sennheiser HD 600 headphones? Of course QuadDac from LG is not there, that's why I'm worried
@@lltechview as I write this, both devices are on sale on Sony's US website: $799.99 for the 1 III, $1,199.99 for the 1 IV. I'm looking to replace my Pixel 4a 5G. Which of these Xperia 1 models offer the best value right now?
@@ronavena The 1 IV is the better device. The 1 IIIs price will fall even further. Maybe wait a month or two for the 1 V announcement and see. I cannot otherwise recommend the 1 IV for that high of a price knowing it will be replaced soon
Can i know what is the ppi for the 1 mark iii..becuase my 1 mark iii shows only 427ppi density in cpu-z and antutu benchmark..i bought it second hand..because in gsm arena it shows 1 mark 3 is 627ppi..
✅ This diserves My comment. Im running 1iii since late March and i did all upgrades and A12 is a Joy. My guess or confes is that im behind the screen 3-5 hours in average. Heating issue is at past and it could been a bit brighter. But.. i realize, the phone optimize brightnes, juice so its been a while since i had some regrets. Now i dont. And now i know i can wait for next one. Honstly, i hope A13 is st special bc i Love A12. Great rewiew.
wow such huge revolutionary changes that Sony made !! the biggest difference is that the 1iv over heats faster now ,now that a huge achievement that the competition does not have great work Sony keep it up lol
The 1 iii overheats also quickly when you use your phone (up off of standby) and have all options turned on (bt, gps, especially 120hz). And on top of that if you use camera and video and outside temperature is already high. Seems like Android phones don’t care about overall optimisation on the 2021/2 top tier Snapdragon processed phones
