to anybody who doesn’t know basketball: luka doncic isn’t just some random nba player, he’s a superstar and one of the best in the world, debatably the best offensive player on the planet today. he’s already a certified hall-of-fame player and he famously absolutely embarrassed the phoenix suns a couple years ago in a legendary performance in the playoffs. at one point he scored more points than the entire opposing team combined. he’s him.

Tbf, it's not that hard to be GM in OW2, and it's possible he's not even in GM due to this trash matchmaking system that puts masters and sometimes even diamond players with GM players.

@@String615he's hating for real but gm is overwatch 2 is actually really low compared to go in overwatch 1 Rn I've hit gm on tank and dps over multiple accounts(solo queue dps with a 60% winrate) but I was a high masters peaker in overwatch 1(around 3911 peak) The games feel so much lower in overwatch 2 even when i peaked at gm2 on both roles, I think you aren't actually a gm player unless you are actually gm1+ and are able to stay there

@@String615to be fair, it is widely agreed upon that they made rank "easier", can't be cope when everyone feel the elo is being inflated with how matches go. For example, I climbed from Bronze to GM support in about 3 weeks of playing Lucio, I haven't played OW since 2016 and only restarted when it was published on Steam. It was only 3 hrs a day and I definitely had harder games playing in Plat-Low Diamond back in 2016 compared to now.

To put in perspective, Michael Jordan and Lebron James both wanted to sign Luka to their respective shoe brands and Doncic would have been the first player James woulda have ever signed to his "Team Lebron" brand...ultimately Luka picked Jordan and does business with the GOAT, but yeah imagine you're that good that you have two GOATS past and present basically tryna win you over to sign with them
