I use codes too, not to that extreme, but still. It started when I had to keep track of taking a bunch of medications. I marked each box with a symbol and then had a diagram of the symbols. Since that worked so well I started connecting other things to those symbols so I could be more productive.

I think he’s saying he likes to doodle & he’s going to make something out of it. When I draw or doodle, I tend to stay on the same “subject” for awhile. Whether that be something like trees, ppl or lettering. He’s doing “objects” or “symbols” right now, his creative mind is thinking maybe he can make a code out of it all eventually, then places his drawings around his place. He remembers where they were placed and if the maid comes in, she will either throw it away or move them - Creative Mess. This is the mind similar to maybe an artist or writer. It may be difficult to explain this to someone but I generally understood what he was saying. Whatever process works for him to get his juices flowing whether it produce something in the end or branches off to something else. I’m glad hes taking time away from his computer using art to relieve stress, anxiety and/or just to do something for himself.
