Either my rear main seal is leaking or my transmission shaft seal is leaking. Either way, it is a pain to pull transmission to fix. At almost 300,000 miles, I am willing to try an unorthodox method of repair! Fellow RU-vidr Scotty Kilmer loves this stuff, so I am trying it in an attempt to fix these leaks and stop a slipping clutch caused by oil dripping on it.

Still leaking but not as bad as it was. This product might work!

That gear oil looks very watery and unhealthy. According to the service manual it's supposed to be 75-90W oil. that looks like you may have had water get into the system.

it definitely wasn’t water since water would sink to the bottom of the trans. I thought it looked clear brown, which is better than black. I was rather happy with the condition of the tranny fluid. The tranny is out of a 1997 pathfinder, so that might be why.
