B Roll Offroad thank you! Yeah it was fun. Yeah I’ve seen the stuff you’ve been putting up on reddit, that’s some good material you’ve been putting up, lota hard work to get all that filmed
Thank you! Oem titan lower control arms and oem inner and outer titan tie rods. I am running SPC titan upper control arms, Radflo 2.5 titan length coilovers 650#, Alcan leaf springs at 3 inches over stock and 250 lbs over stock, nissteclift shackles on 1.5 inch setting, and bilstien 5100 4-5 inch lift shocks in the rear
Hey_Danny I would say it’s a more stable ride than before the lift. The stiffer Springs and the better coilovers (radflo 2.5 650#) and wider stance make it a solid platform. I drive an hour to work and an hour back every day and it’s been very comfortable, even cruising at 90 on the toll road. I think the stiffer springs make the difference. it doesn’t ride like a Cadillac like some like, it’s more of a heavy duty truck
Awesome to hear. I just added new tires and I am running 33"s now. Looking to do the Titan swap soon but just moved jobs and the parking garage has a 7 foot max. Any idea if your X is taller than 7 feet?
chevrolet631 I would always suggest a titan swap over any differential drop kit. You get lift with the diff drop but you don’t get any extra ground clearance and it just looks bad I think too
I have a 2006 off road Edition manual transmission what are my big advantages with the Titan swap just, I already have the Locker on the back and limited slip on the front differential
great info. About 11 inches of front travel and a beefed up front differential. You won’t be able to get this much lift without the longer travel. And wider stance in front
With a Titsn swap, taller &wider = better stability overall, more ground clearance underneath the whole vehicle, longer travel. Secondary benefit is you can put wider tires = more stability & bigger contact patch. That matters more in wet or icy roads.
thuderclese I think it rides great. A big improvement over the stock suspension. Very stable, just slightly more lean being higher up but the wider stance and stiff springs keep it quite stable. 650# springs are roughly 200# over my current setup, that’s in anticipation for an aluminum bumper and winch, so it’s a sorta bumpy ride right now but I don’t mind it. What build are you thinking of doing?
I was thinking about getting the Radflo 2.5 inch coilovers with either 600# or 650#. I too am planning on getting either a steel or aluminum bumper, and was just curious as to the overall stiffness of 650# springs. I was also going to be getting the Alcan leaf springs with a 3.5 inch lift on some 5100s. I'm planning on putting a plate bumper on the rear as well.
Looks awesome! I’ve been looking for a shop in GA that’s familiar with the titan swap but no luck yet. If anybody can drop me a link it would be appreciated. I have a 2017 frontier pro 4x
ToxicTater I don’t currently have a link but it’s essentially replacing the entire front end drivetrain, suspension, and steering components with Nissan Titan parts. Front differential, cv axles, all upper and lower arms, suspension, and the inner and outer tie rods
I'm not sure where mine sits, roughly 3 to 3.5 inch lift I think. Oh and I found this a while ago from someone who tested it: Sway-a-ways will run you about 40" to the fender with 10.5" of usable travel. Radflo sits at 39.75" to the fender with 9.75" usable travel. I didn't go with sway-a-way cuz I heard they were just starting their business up again or something like that. I'll check sometime what mine is sitting at, cuz obviously that will depend on tire size and body lift (they didn't clarify if it was measured from center of hub or ground or what tires they had if it was from the ground so). I don't have any body lift
