Just a little video on this new display upgrade.  The factory password is 1314. If your screen flashes, check the end of the video to see how to set it up right. It is not compatible with JB4 car tuners or US cell phone SIM cards.
@@dylanktech Thank you very much. You can import some, but there are three defaults. The Earth from space, car headlights in the dark with a blue tint which I like and the car side profile with the word welcome under it. It’s in factory settings/boot logo. 🍻
I tinted the screen because it’s too bright at night but no, I don’t have trouble seeing around or over it. Not in my way at all. You’re welcome buddy. 😁👍🏻
If I make another video on it, it will likely be to tell people not to use it. Lol The radio buttons are not intuitive, the AC control is unreliable. The whole system itself is just not well put together.
I have to pretty loudly to make it work with speech to text properly. Other than that, I don’t use the mic much. I’m fairly certain that it just uses the cars, OEM mic. You might want to ask the manufacturer that question, but you know how it is, they are going to make it sound like the best thing in the world. Lol

Not sure if it’s just my car but it’s max cold from 16C to 27.5C. Only at 28C does it go to hot and it’s max heat.
can it be maybe from a climate sensor that is not positioned properly or not reading the interior temperature properly? i mean I'm jsut saying what i think would be... as i don't know exactly what sensors and accessories this panel comes with... i am from uk and i cannot buy the one you shared in the link as the delivery is to expensive but i gave found one in China identical for £309 but I'm not shure yet if I'll upgrade it or not... it does look very nice but the functionality is important as well... and to be honest I've seen your video and it's a lot of work to install it
but i have bought the xtrons 12.3 display... it look very big and I'm curious how does it look from outside like... i mean the back of the display... is that plastic cove that comes with it... does a good job? does it look ok? or should i send it back and get the smaller version of it the 10.25 inch one
@@balintflaviu5984 I’m not sure how I could send you pictures but I don’t think it looks too big. I don’t think it interferes much at all with my line of sight while driving. Personally, I think it really upgraded the look of the car inside. And now I can use CarPlay, which is awesome.
I wouldn’t recommend the climate control. After extensive testing I find it to be very janky. Unintuitive, badly designed and it feels unnatural. Not to mention in some cases it just doesn’t seem to work properly at all. I like the big screen personally fur the Idrive however. Preference I suppose. But the passenger can watch a movie on it even and the GPS screen is very easy to see, even in very dense road patterns.
@@pietro4836 it will work for data but it will only work via hotspot internet tether in the US. I just want to stress no cell capability in the US. But they have instructions on how to do that stuff with the unit. It’s not hard.
