FREE DOWNLOAD (From my cloud archive): e.pc.cd/Q4uotalK Went back making some complextro stuff, so here we are. Quite satisfied with the result, relatively speaking.
Been going through all manner of life changes, and if there's one thing I've become familiar with is to let go of things that hold me back from becoming what I'm supposed to be. One of them has been intense debilitating perfectionism, which I seem to have fought and overcome. For me, this track is the proof I am successfully releasing myself from that terrible pattern of thinking. It was about time I started finishing more things for you all to hear.
Remember one thing Trullo: *perfectionism is a double-edged sword.* When you sharpen a pencil, and it's already sharp, if you sharpen it again and it becomes sharp as a needle, by tempering it again it breaks, creating that "double stripe" of the classic broken leads. What I mean, is that if you try to perfect something further and further over the edge, you risk altering the result from what you originally hoped for. In music it is very important since if you listen to a track too many times while creating it, you risk starting to not enjoy the melody and the sounds as before and this risks greatly influencing the final result of the track. I'm sure you already knew this very well, in that case sorry for the comment. I missed you (ɔ◔‿◔)ɔ _(comment translated with Google Translate)_
This is definitely the reason for my massive graveyard of projects I have left behind me during the last few years. I tend to produce something to about 70% completion and just move on to the next project - which is why there has been such an apparent lack of published projects in recent years. Lessons were learned, it was not fun to stay there for an extended amount of time.
I've struggled with the same thing and I'm just now kind of getting past it. But it lead to me eventually taking a year break from creating due to how much of a task it felt like for me to make every new track sound "perfect"
@@xtrullor tbh i really wanna hear like a really big video with most left behind projects to hear and make a poll on wich one wad the greatest so it could be continued/ remastered
hey if you start worrying about your perfectionism in your tracks, just remember that literally all of your songs are fire, and even if you make a track that you dont think is good, you'll always learn from that 🔥 have a nice day :)
This song in the background has several emotions, I feel that its melody is unique, like a known melody but that only exists when you hear it, it is something strange to express, but it is a song that I really like and that is really able to express everything that you feel, the representation of all your ability. What was the part that you liked the most to do of this song Xtrullor?
I probably liked most the fact that I actually went out and ACTUALLY DID all the sound design for once. You have no idea how long I've been avoiding practicing it because I hated everything I made, making me rusty at it, and that became a reinforcing self-fulfilling prophecy. Apprehension to make basses is gone. It only means the improvement will be tremendous from here on out.
@@xtrullor I like to know that, I see that you value all your ability very well now, and that is exactly what will mark you very much, you are very intelligent and skillful, that is what I will always highlight the most about you
This whole song just sounds like a release, like you're free, free from the things which you had to let go. Simply amazing, not only is this song epic, but it also tells a wonderful story. Thank you Xtrullor.
As someone who has completely lost interest in dubstep and electronic music, you're still such a GOAT that I enjoy this music like I did before, or perhaps even more now. You, Talurre, and Creo will always have a special place in my heart for helping shape my musical taste today, even if it is vastly different from this.
I legit have hard time listening to electronic music that is made today, hence I pretty much just make the kind of music I wish existed. I legit mainly just listen to metal and other genres while making electronic music. I have no idea why even dubstep has basically become boring riddim these days, it's almost a disgrace. That being said, I have so much more in store, I'm saving up to buy a 7-string violin, and oh boy are things going to get very epic from there on out.
A seven string violin definitely sounds epic, hopefully you can get it. My musical taste may have went from dubstep to hard rock (although the band's I listen to combine it with orchestral and electronic music sort of reminiscent of yours), but I'll always be here for the artists who got through the pandemic. Good luck with the rest of your music. While you're making it just remember some of the greatest artists of all time knew there is a thing called being perfectly imperfect.
@@43tss yeah, besides Barely Alive (mostly because of their intros), VR (cuz his melodic side is awesome) and Au5 (hes the goat) I dont really listen to "big bass heavy music producers" these days at all
Ever since this dropped, I have been listening to it almost every day. Such an instant classic that brings a lot to my heart as well. Thank you so much for the tunes Xtrullor!
Damn, this is really good. It definitely feels like a throwback to the old days of Gaster-face Xtrullor, and reminds me a bit of songs like Tria. The mix of the old-school style with the added quality and refinement you pour into your stuff nowadays is a great mix and I’d love to see more of this, or really anything you want to do, in the future.
A complex cycle of discovering a Xtrullor song: 1. Amazing! new song. Let's have a listen. 2. That was awesome. Let's play it again. *Repeat step 2 until further notice*
This almost feels like all of your styles over the years in one track, from that crunchy bass, neurostep, complextro, and a touch of orchestral stuff. absolutely amazing!
If you keep worrying about perfectionism in your tracks, just remember that me, and most likely most of your audience are happy with whatever you produce, because all of your songs are great!
Oh dude it’s so good to hear this! Your older electro tracks were by far some of my favourites of yours. Glad to know you’re overcoming mental hurdles :)
Xtrullor, I just wanted to say thank you for all your incredible music. You've made it for years, and never given up, even when it's hard. Thank you for the music, but even more, thank you for never giving up.
I'd like to welcome everyone to the 3rd era of Xtrullor. A very warm welcome to both everyone and the man himself, Xtrullor. We missed ya man, we're looking forward on your future releases.
This song is absolute fire! Epic stuff and don't worry about perfectionism man we all love you and everything you release no matter what is always original and different (in a good way) from others!! I love this song!!!!
Always a good day when Xtrullor releases a new track. Love that it sounds like your older music, feels really refreshing. Looking forward to any future projects!
Welcome back, banger track and even touched my heart and my emotional strings! I hope what your going through, you can come out stronger! You can do it!
I liked this song the first time that I heard it, but man it just keeps growing on me. that drop at 2:58 gives me the chills every time. thank you, xtrullor.
Oh my god, Xtrullor, I'm in love with this track! You've really outdid yourself this time. So many feelings described in a way that cannot be told with words. Thank you, and this is a masterpiece.
god damn i missed seeing this name pop in my notifs!! glad ur back and overcame that perfectionism! keep us up with some more fire!!! this track is completly insane! cant wait for those bangers!
This is now my 2nd most favorite Xtrullor track, right behind Supernova. Great work, dude. The melody on this is just so catchy and epic, I can't get enough of it
One of your most beautiful tracks to date. It’s composed so beautifully and I love the melody. Not to mention your nasty flow. So happy to see you making music again, I’ve been excited for your return for so long.
xtrullor I discovered you in October of last year but in this year I discovered way more songs of yours. lets just say your music absolutely made my 2022 :)
After a long and painful semester and the day of my last final exam, I couldn't have been greeted by RU-vid with anything much better. Thanks once again and I'm happy you overcame what you did and are growing and developing! Cheers.
So nice to see another upload. And, for what it's worth, you are, and probably will be as long as I listen to electronic music, my favorite dj. Like, there isn't even any question, you're so far above everything I've ever heard. Btw, the song is fire.
Wow, you literally managed to make me leave my incognito den just so I could compliment your work. Not often I do such a thing so it is definitely a compliment on my end. Keep up the amazing work, about time we got a breath of fresh air on the Bass music scene :)
That final piano is giving me nostalgia from old tracks of you. This is insane! And as other said, I would love to hear more old school orchestral dubstep :D
Been like five whole months since I listened to this, criminal your stuff has some insane replayability, man. I remember from an old comment on Paracosm you said you couldn't believe people were still listening to your work but to be honest I can't imagine NOT listening to your stuff over and over nor can I imagine any more of a replayable artist than yourself. Even your non-loop projects I can listen to nonstop for hours, especially powerful-as-heck crunchy pieces such as this :D This track is still fresh as hell, SHRED THAT GNAR MANN 🤟 :3
Honestly, what I like about this song is that it feels like it takes the best parts of your old music and your second era music and mixes them together. What I mean is that you combined your amazing skill at creating the traditional dubstep sound (which can be graining if the composer is not careful) and you hevanly melodies of the second era. The drops remind me of your older music in the best possible way amd then the main melody is just *chef's kiss*. I think that this is an incredible fusion of the two styles, as no one section really feels out of place or forced. 👍👍 Edit: Look at this dude trying to analyze the song rather than just enjoying the sick beats, smh.
This is some KICK ASS sound design - and the second drop makes it especially apparent. I really love seeing other musicians overcome the fear of imperfection and other creative blockages, though lately, I struggle with my own. The brass over the distorted guitar-like bass at the end is so gorgeous and I personally can't wait to hear what's next!
Boi I got notif from you and I immediately clicked less than a second. I love this new track of yours man. It has the rhythm of your oldest songs but also has the quality and timbre you have in your sound today. The first drop really reminds me of your songs back on 2013 to 2015 especially Instant Reaction. It literally sounds like if you made a VIP remix of that track.
I really love this song, its feels like an Xtrullor song, one that has a bit of every style hes done in it. Its a type of song that I have been silently hoping you'd make for a while. I love it, please keep making music you enjoy. If you love your music, I assure you we all will too
