3 port valve heating system, Y plan heating system. BASIC guide on how a Y PLAN central heating system works. Cylinder thermostat. Timer. Room thermostat. Wiring centre. Mid position valve.
Remember B is for bath . Your (and other trade) videos help us notice things and understand how our homes work.(customers that say more than 'no warm fixy fixy ' might be helpful in some cases) Helped my friends move into a new house on Monday, the plumbing and electric are a bit odd. Couldn't find a boiler ,guessing there's a cylinder or something in the attic flow and return go up there and there's a top up pipe with a pressure gauge (reading 1 😀) in a cupboard that smells of cannabis. A radiator pipe goes round a corner where there is no longer a wall.all the plug sockets and light switches are at different heights (looks like a faceplate rewire) it's got a lovely fuse box re wireable fuses, and a DIY semi complete light distribution box in the garden labeled up with embossed dymo labels. All freshly decorated with new carpet and laminate.
Do you need to pre lay the pipes to allow for this design or can any existing system be easily updated to allow the cyl. to be prioritised over the central heating?
Hey mate, do you know how to turn off the timing setting on sauter control panel. I only want to use the boost function. My heating is coming on when nobody's home and it's a real problem. Any advise would be appreciated
Were does the pump come in on fully pumped system ?? will boiler still fire up if pump not running ?? Does boiler come on first then pump , or pump first then boiler ?
