Yaesu FT 857 LCD rebuild using after market LCD 

I had mine repaired about 5 years ago by Yaesu. This is such a wide known problem it should have been fixed for free.

Really good going there, I would be well happy with that result. I don't see the bottom line missing being a problem really when you compare the before and after.

Would love a video showing us how to DIY the soldering of the LCD but I know this is your business so I understand if that’s not possible. Also a link for the business you’re using to source the LCD again I understand if that’s not possible.

great video ...misssed out on an YAESU OEM display board on QRZ for 100.$....

It looks like you have a line at the top of the display that isn't being used. Just bump up the display a line.... if only..... Good video !!

How can I contact you, Andy? I bought the display replacement but not sure if I have the tools or the ability to do the work. Arthritis in my right hand has flared up.

Do you do this repair on kenwoods? For example the TMV7a.

Do you also work on Icom IC-706 MkIIg? No display issues, I think it’s finals. Down on TX power… And if so how do I contact you?

I just bought an aftermarket board because Yaesu said they no longer have the parts. That's for my 857D. My 897 has one stripe now.
