Yaesu FTdx10 Transceiver after 6 months of use is a Amazing radio both for amateurs and shortwave 

I purchased one on-sale recently after reading all the positive comments about it!

Never know who we may hear ,I had qso with air planes ,ships ,cars, clubs balloons,mobile car people on beaches parks and mountain peaks ,it's neat there is a radio out there everywere

That's a good idea putting your other receivers on the V antenna with a switch. I have my 8600, R8, Sat 800, and RSPdx all on my Alpha Delta DX-Ultra inverted V Dipole using a 4 position coax switch. No noticable loss.

Trying to convince the ministry of Finance that this would be a great acquisition. So far no go.

12 is not bad. 6 each side. Have you used it on am ham? 29 is pretty good right now.

So if you were looking for a receiver like the Icom IC-R8600 that you would have to buy new vs a Yaesu FTdx10 that a friend bought new a few months ago and does not want it and I can get for about $500 off how much better is the Icom IC-R8600 if only using as a receiver?
