Now that I think about it, City Hunter has the same approach when it comes to emotions, that one time you'll laugh and be hyped by the action, then the next thing you'll see yourself crying cos damn heavy plot
First time I watched that max0r vid I wasn't in a happy state of mind and when he said that part at the end I just... kinda lost it. I really hope he's doing well. Ty for the reaction, always enjoy your videos. And I appreciate you didn't make light of that part either.
I'm genuinely enjoying strangers in paradise even if the characters feel like a bit of an afterthought. What I can't forgive is how bad the game looks on PS4. Particularly the characters' hair
Correction: Nomura didn't write SoP, he was a producer and artist on it. The writers are Kazushige Nojima (who's been the scenario writer for many of the FF games since VII) and Tomoco Kanemaki (who wrote the Kingdom Hearts light novels)
Tips : get a lot of slime gun / zap gun to defeat Mr. Shakedown faster ( if you didn't know about it already ) And the driving arcade game can go suck itself it took me 3 hours just to beat that sidequest :l
Notably, Nomura did not write SiP, nor did he write FF15. The Nomura slander is a meme on anything he's tangentially related to because some people don't like Kingdom Hearts.
I've heard great things about SoP. Specifically how hard it embraces Nomura's ultra greatsword level edgy protagonist to the point of absurdity. Yall thought cloud being nonchalant and the entirety of the Kingdom hearts undercast with their linkin park designs were edgy? Nah man Jack is a different breed of embracing the edge.
The Yakuza series is one of those series that makes absolutely no sense 90% of the time, but I absolutely love it 😂 Atomising people into their base particles. Yup that sums up the fighting in Yakuza games 😂
yeah a good chunk of western culture got popular around the world, starting with baseball , then basketball and swimming and track like you see in Tokimeki Memorial or half of every dating sim or VN back in the day. back in the 80-90s....
Japan enjoys baseball more than the US, and we're the ones who invented it. It's so boring that it's no wonder our most popular sport is just a modified version of rugby.
Honestly, I'm loving Stranger of Paradise. Jack is actually similar to most old school action heroes and has very simple motivations, but the game is really good. Combat is pretty amazing and smooth. Probably just don't go in expecting the world of the story, it feels more like a campy action movie in that regard. Not a bad thing, but just probably not everyone's cup of tea. Nomura isn't that bad. I'm not saying he's good either though.
