I like how intense and dramatic the music is, and it fits the life and death situation kiryu is given, like if people find out that kiryu reads adult mags it'll destroy his dignity.
Well, Majima didn't INVENT the tax per se, he just gave some politician advice for it. But even if he did, destroying the economy for decades isn't exactly the sort of thing most people would brag about.

Matt Rogan This is is all true. You could look at this one way and side with Majima but when calculated that when this all went down, it was in 1992 and Majima was 28....she was 18. Why he chose a younger partner is up for interpretation because I don’t think it was ever addressed.
Thing is, when Majima said "I invented the tax!", he's partially right. In a Y0 substory, he convinced a politician in Sotenbori to introduce new legislation that then increased value-added taxes in Japan

Remember the ending of No More Heroes when Travis is on the toilet and some random assassin busts in wanting a fight? I can totally see Majima doing the same thing, but steals the toilet paper first.
Majima is the kind of crazy I can really respect. He is up the walls, batshit bonkers and does things not because he needs to but because he *wants* to. Now I may be almost 30, but I still wanna be like him when I grow up! :)
However, Majima became like this because he has a sad past. All the psychological trauma he endured led him become what he became, a mad dog who doesn't give a shit about rules.
I wish I encountered this when I played Kiwami, its the best Majima encounter I've seen so far. Also the callback to inventing taxes was fucking perfection
