These two films by Miike Takashi are a trip. In their own ways each are an enjoyable adaptation of Yakuza though one is far more complete than the other. Link to the Discord: / discord Link to Patreon: www.patreon.com/user?u=312627...
Thank Goodness your back I thought you were gone forever when you deleted your channel. If you going through a difficult time I will pray for your safety and well-being and help you in any way I can.
I hope you haven't stopped dude. I really enjoy your videos and I just wished you were more well known. You deserve way more attention than what you have.
It should be noted that apparently Takashi Miike hardly makes any alterations to the screenplays he's given, which would explain why the Like a Dragon movie doesn't quite stack up to his other works relating to the Yakuza. Simply put, it may have not have had the best writer.
Wait where did this channel go for 2-3 months I thought you deleted the channel because I could not find you in the results or the book mark in Earth vs Star Wars?
If you want to watch a good videogame adaption from Miike look up the "Ace Atthorney" movie made by him. That is legit one of the best video-game to movie adaptations ever put to film, and, unlike his Ryo ga Gotoku movie, it is very accurate to the games story while Miike also gave some parts of it his own spin. definatly worth watching, trust me.
Any idea if you'll be reviewing Victory Gundam? I am morbidly curious what your opinions on it would be, considering how polarizing that series was, and how Tomino even went out of his way to WARN PEOPLE AGAINST watching it! Or am I asking too much here, what with how the series is considered quite possibly the most depressing of the franchise?
Victory may be dark, cynical and at times very depressing... but it's also a remarkably moving and entertaining journey with production values far in excess of its actual budget. It may be Tomino at his bleakest, but (much like Space Runaway Ideon) it's those same values which make it compelling to watch.
Hey boofire, can you remake the Earth in star wars seriers? I watched it again today and i think you should remake the series because i think it would be entertaining and cool if you remade it.
I'm just learning recently a new tactic by Japanese companies to unfairly move anime content and yes even manga have just started some channels have been nuked do if you do not have Geo blocking you have to private or even delete your videos of that content
So this is what the Yakuza franchise is about. Now I know why it never hit my radar. Anyways, those movies seem mildly more interesting than some of the stuff I've seen in advertisements lately. Know what has my attention though? That Goblinslayer movie none of my friends told me about. Oooo, I'm gonna get to that one.
