It's been a while since I got these test results back from Arbsession, but at least I can show you how the splice does in the field. The formula for the tapering still needs to be nailed down perhaps, otherwise the splice works beautifully and gets very respectable results on the break test. It's definitely the kern mantle splice that gives me the most confidence to climb. I wonder about other kern mantle splices if there is too much being asked of the cover. On this splice the cover still only does the job it was intended to do and that makes me feel pretty good. Hope you enjoyed it! Try it out for your self and get it tested of course.
