I am in my senior year of high school, am I eligible to apply for this program because this is what I am getting confused in:- ❑ Sophomore (U.S. grade 10 or equivalent) ❑ Junior (U.S. grade 11 or equivalent) ❑ Senior (U.S. grade 12 or equivalent) they have given this option but on their website they wrote that:- "Be a current high school sophomore or junior (or international equivalent). Be graduating in May/June 2022 or 2023 from the Northern Hemisphere, or in Nov./Dec. 2021 or 2022 from the Southern Hemisphere.

I have a very strong passion for astronomy, is having passion towards a subject helps me to get in?

Yes, having passion definitely helps. Just make sure you reflect the same passion in your essay and short essays so that the YYGS Admissions Team can see it! It would be helpful if you have done something in the area of astronomy. Action > Words!! You can ask your teachers to write about how you showed your astronomy interest in school.

I have photographed 4 planets(Jupiter,Saturn,mars,venus) and next trying to spot a galaxy with my telescope and I used to visit observatories and I watch astronomical events with my telescope. I hope this can help me to show my passion, At least a bit.

It's planned to be held on campus but they will finalise and release the decision regarding it till March 5, 2021

First of all, thank you so much for such a great video. I am a international student from India and I have 2 questions that - 1.) Doing a internship related to your passion will help me to get into YYGS ? 2.) Applying in early action will increase my chances of acceptance or not? Thank you.....

1. Definitely! If you do anything that is connected to passion and helps you grow as person then it'll definitely help! 2. I can't say much about it but it's your choice if you're ready early then their is no harm in applying early action!

Hi, I'm from India and will be applying to yygs this year. My family income is around ,6900 usd a year. Definitely I can't afford, do you think that I'll get the financial aid?

YYGS is very generous and fair at providing financial aid for their applicants. Everyone should try for the financial aid if they think they are eligible :)

I wanted to know that currently I am in Year 10, aged 15 years as of 8th April 2020. So should I apply by November 20, 2020, or should i wait till next year. because I want to attend the Program in person and not online.

Hi there, I hve one request... Can u pls make a detailed video on RSI application process for international students.... Its a little bit confusing as there are two options on their application portal-(Rsi and rsi international) Which one do i have to apply for, as an indian student, for the one held at MIT?? man go for it! money is not a barrier but make sure to give ur best in ur passion. they stated that they meet 99% of the financial aid requirements! make urself the best asset for YYGS.

@@sagarshivas298 even I love astronomy! But i didn't do anything related to it... I'm a video editor (like not that professional level, but have done some gigs), did some volunteer work in 9th grade.. And participated in some karate competitions.. Like I'm gonna lists only these in ECs section... Awards are also to worry about👀
