Joe Walsh was the coolest most grounded mega rock star. He took what he did seriously but never took him self seriously. He sang a song about every day man which had a line “picked up the dog doo tell me it’s hard”

Sad to say, I saw their tour in the early-mid 80s. It was Joe and Glenn. Before Joe got sober. He was a mess. Fell off a stool, couldn’t recall the lyrics, mumbled through most songs etc. So happy he got sober and is doing well.

I saw the picture of them on their choppers & thought" I have no Idea who they are but just because of the cover I'm buying this!" That was something I hadn't done before. The James Gang formed at Kent State University. When Joe comes back for a show in the Cleveland area, often the other 2 members Jimmy Fox on drums, and Dale Peters on bass will join Joe for a song or 2. Joe said he had only had put his band together a few weeks prior and i noticed a couple of members were from Ray Wyle's band. Seemed odd but i later found out that Ringo had played Ray Wyle's song Snake Farm to Joe and he called Mr. Hubbard wanting to know what Amp he used for his guitar on Snake Farm and that led to them becoming friends and touring for a little bit.

"Ordinary Average Guy" not only shows Joe's reggae skills.- it shows off his skills for talking about dog doo in an entertaining way.

Kickin' jam for 3 guys. Everything Joe Walsh did was gold. Saw him once in concert, def in my top 10 shows EVER. The Eagles got better imo when he joined them. He also did some great guitar work for Dan Fogelberg, an artist who i think Amber would really like.

You always make me smile with every discovery of a new artist, band, or song! Got one for FEMALE FRIDAY from the late 70s: Chrissie Hynde, lead singer and primary song-writer for the Pretenders. I recommend this later live performance (she's in her 50s here) with a surprise for Amber near the end. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eiW_NI9stp8.html

Saw the James Gang back in the 70s. Fantastic! Check out their Live at Carnegie Hall album. The cover art is hilarious......front & back.

First like to say happy for your team win yesterday. I am a die hard Chiefs fan . I will be rooting for your team at the super bowl. This song brings back the 70's so much for me. Love the instrumentals and the raspy voice.

This song was created from a bunch of warm up scales that Joe Walsh used to do.

Attended an outside wedding reception with a stage setup. They invited anyone with a guitar to come up and jam. The whole front of the stage was lined with players and this was the song they jammed to. Try The Bomber or Walk Away by the guys.

Love Joe's crazy days of creativity but it's a blessing he got clean and sober in 1993. He's still brilliantly gifted.
