Thanks Jeff, I certainly don't deserve to be put in that category, I am just having fun in my retirement doing the sort of things I could only dream of as a young man. I grew up reading magazines and watching what others were doing, just like you and every other guy at the time. Of course, those who try, make mistakes. It just takes all the wind out of the sails when folks get too serious or over their skis about stuff. Thanks Shawn, bet the RM80 was a fun project, the smaller bikes are my favorite these days. They still have good parts availability and there were more made, so used stuff is there too. Glad these videos are of some use. I appreciate you spending your time with me in the shop.

I agree Johnnie, back in the day the enduros were just coming out, few wanted these anymore. Now looking back, they are just plain cool.

Thanks Jim, yes this system keeps the timing retarded to start the engine, then once started the flyweights go out and advance it for normal riding.

Thank you, years ago I used Blendzall, I think you just use what is available in your area, these days you can get anything sent to your house. I use Caster bean oil (currently Klotz) in my race bikes, but Yamalube in the oil injection bikes.

Hi there, all I did on this one was to buff out the old paint with buffing compound. It still has the chips and scratches, but it shined up pretty nice. After that I coated all the painted parts with paste wax.

@@montana2strokeracer Got one in the UK here for £30. I rebuild NSU engines for the main supplier here in the UK and this is an easier way to set the ignition thanks Dale
