I have played Yamaha saxes, both tenor and alto, and I agree that they are very dependable and easy to play. When I switched to a professional level horn, I bought second-hand Selmers, and have stayed with Selmer as my main saxophone. They have nice, dark tone, and are ergonomic. I love my Mark VI tenor.

I like the sound Dan. Also I love seeing London and the countryside from your lens. Maybe one day I will travel across the pond.

Love your videos, please keep them coming. I'd love to hear your thoughts on comparing Yamaha's 62 with the 82 given they are both pro level horns. Thanks!

As much as I wanted to hear otherwise, I expected your conclusion would be exactly what it was. Nice vid. Thx.

So for me, the MK6 is a dead sounding horn very ridgid in its tone. I've been playing a King Silver Sonic for the last six years, and now have moved to a Chateau 90. It's a big fat sounding copper body horn that might make too big of a sound for the small room stuff you seem to play. The copper resonates and carries a room full of folks without a PA, but still can get fairly quiet. One can also play a fairly closed mpc, say 90 or less tip opening which get one into that Eddie Daniels thing of smaller is better. Interesting stuff...keep it up.

Nice vlog Dan. I knew you'd stick with the vi but who'd blame you. It's like a comfy pair of slippers to you. Would I swap my Yani TWO20 for it???? Nope. I love my horn. Thank's again Dan for your time 👍🎷

I loved your sound on that sax! Great tone you had jazz and classical sounds easily. Sounds like a wonderful, versatile sax and I know have severe GAS syndrome! Need to start saving. Sell the six and buy some new lenses instead!
