Banshee 4mil motor assembly. 58x115 crank with stock cylinders. My MX hardcore trail port for the 4mil long rod and some other little goodies tossed in.
Awesome video mate very informative and straight to the point! I really enjoyed watching it and has given me the motivation I need to re assemble my motor. Off to the shed I go. Thanks heaps 😁
Thanks for the video. Yep, it's long but very good. I am not all the way thru it yet but got a chuckle when you said to check for the case dowels. Just yesterday I assembled my RZ350 bottom end, then l looked over there, and low and behold what did I see? I took them out because it's a tiny bit easier to get the 1211 sealant on. So disassembled and reassembled again. Glad to see you are using 1211 sealant which is what I have landed on after several rebuilds.
I am new to your channel I watched a Lotta different ones I came across yours started paying attention and watching it you really know your stuff I enjoyed the video I will continue watching your videos
Now to be fair not all piston manufacturers sent ligature on ring gaps and other instructions, i personally can say im surprised i bought wossner piston kit for one of my snowmobiles and not instructions at all.
I watch anything banshee related haha. Idc how long it is. I've played around with porting, 2 strokes, 450s, w.e. motor I'm on at the time. But with nikasil, I've yet to cut into that. U have cubs renicked after porting? Is there a certain kind of cutter to not chip the port edges nik? I refurb mostly banshees, want to port my 521 maybe.
@@herrjugsracing7816 nice man. Yeah 521 ain't one to practice on lol. I'm comfortable working sleeves. So u still use double cut carbide burrs? I need better tools. Foredom coming soon. Been using die grinding with 6" burrs but they hop around too much. Love the video man!!!!
Great content! How much power could you expect(rough estimate) from a ported(street play) 4 mil on pump gas? I’m sure you are very busy, so what’s your turn around time on a full engine build? I mean something relatively basic that you do a lot of? Thanks for your time!
@@herrjugsracing7816 got it. Sounds good. That’s pretty quick turn around in today’s environment of parts shortages. I’ll be in touch. Thanks for your time.
I pressure and vacuum test every engine I build !!!! Chainsaws , snowmobiles, dirt bikes, any two stroke engine I build gets tested !!! Or I don't send it out the door
Hey Kevin so I'm going to have about 85- 90 horsepower when I'm done building my 4 mil. I see that you cut "every other ear off", so that the gears engage easier or more efficiently. I would love to understand a little more why and how you achieve this mod. Again I appreciate your knowledge and time.
Makes for a longer open time for the gears to engage. Its a must if you are in the 85-90HP range. If you really are at those numbers your Banshee wont shift at all. If it shifts fine you aren't making HP those numbers.
great video, ive noticed sometimes the stuff inside the flywheel its just dirt or sand and not broken magnets so you can clean it thoroughly and blow it off 👍
hey man wicked video, but question, im doing a full build atm stock and my stock main trans bearings came out nice and back in but when i go to put my aftermarket ones in with those half moon clips it doesnt fully rest in the case i dont like that. i check bearings have the same markings on them only difference is they are aftermarket? any help would be awesome as im stumped here. Thanks!
Some of the aftermarket stuff doesn't fit right. You can modify the clip to fit or run different bearings. I have run into that before but get all my bearings from the same place now that fit correctly. If you stay away from Ebay and find a shop that knows Banshees you will bet in much better shape.
@@herrjugsracing7816 thank you for the reply! i acutally got a 3500 kit from bpatv surprised the bearings weren't a perfect fit? they also wont return or exchange the 2 that wont fit. so mod the half moon clip it is! thank you again! now i can keep building!
