I bought this entire system (670 keyboard, stand and pedals) from Kraft Music. It took only a couple of days to get it and it is everything I hoped it would be. It is easy to store settings for sounds you want to save, record yourself playing, create songs, etc. It is also easy to adjust all the levels of the main instrument, styles, songs, mic. The sounds are simply amazing to say the least. I LOVE mine!
@@ibotnari I'm not so sure that I will have it in a few days. My seller keeps telling me that it's about to come in his store, but it never does. I don't know why Yamaha has all these problems in delivering.
@@luigirubano1660 I just called to inquiry about my order with Musicians Friend and they said shipment is scheduled for Jun 25 reason being COVID-19 stuff impacting Yamaha's supply chain. Good luck with your order though. Please keep me updated if you get it sooner :) thanks!
This is what I have been looking for: a decent demonstration of the sounds and the sound creation functionality. The only other video is by a guy who sent the keyboard back as it wasn't suitable for his style of classical sheet music playing.
Hello guys, I bought this piano, and I uploaded a video "Comptine d'un autre ete" exporting the original audio quality. The piano is fantastic, high level.
Granier (j'attends depuis Janvier !)
Is this typical of Yamaha and the headphone jack is the only way to send this to an amplifier or PA mixer? Should have the gamut of outs to meet all the needs from home to studio to gigging! Stereo included!
@@FullPullTv And that's where Yamaha missed the mark! Musicians that want to play their keyboards might start to explore recording and collaborating if made easier by Yamaha!
@@KP11520 well I think just like with anything sold in "tiers" they dont want to give too much because they want you to upgrade. I have a DGX 520 an older model board that still works perfectly but its nothing compared to my mx49 and it was never meant to be. Personally there is no way id spend $800 on a board that wasnt meant to be used in a professional perfomance
This limitation is typical for the Yamaha DGX series. It is designed to be a relatively low cost home keyboard. Yamaha has a wide range of keyboards and purposefully omits features so as to not cannibalize sales of more expensive products.
You’ll all get it just in time for the release of the DGX-700: which has unlimited polyphony, a concert CFX 50 (50 gig sample), concert Bosendorfer (50gig sample), 24 track recording, 16-Gigs of onboard sampling, 100 watts of speaker output, 50 per side, midi/audio output...Also includes singer vocal replication output, ie sound like Phil Collins, Lionel Richie, pitch perfect straight from the microphone onboard speaker system, Matt finish keyboard, and sooooo much more. Unit made of steel-polymer zextrom (strongest, lightest steel ever made), so unit weighs in at 12 lbs. price? $400 brand new.
For those wondering why this keyboard is currently unobtainium, the IC chip factory that makes a huge percentage of the global DSP's (digital signal processors) chips burned down a while ago. You can't make a digital music instrument without them. It's not just this keyboard that is affected.
Been trying to get a hold of one recently, is that really why? They certainly haven’t made any official announcements to my knowledge, I thought all stock was already bought 😭
@fartpoobox ohyeah : After 7 weeks of waiting, mine arrived via FedEx yesterday. Thank you Sam Ash. I ordered a Z type stand from Amazon which should arrive Saturday. Decided against the $100 Yamaha stand as this was $40 less and all metal instead of particle board and rated for 250 pounds with the option to mount a second keyboard above.
It's interesting that on another video review the guy says the keys are shiny and slippery and he sent his back partly because of that. Here, Adam specifically says the opposite is true. Wondering if Yamaha would ship the same model with different build features like key textures? The other reviewer was not in the US.
Does the "USB to Host" connection on the back mean I can use this as a Midi Controller? as in use it to to trigger virtual instruments? I love the sounds, but midi use is super important to me. Also is the GHS action a good one for a beginner-intermediate player? Like will I be able to comfortably switch to a real piano when the time comes?
You can certainly use it as a midi controller. What's even better is that the usb also serves as an audio interface so you can playback your virtual instrument's audio through the keyboard's speakers.
I do it using the Mikey blue ios lightning audio interface, compatible with iPhone 6 thru 14 Plug all of your equipment into the mixer board and adjust to your liking Get a 1/4 inch left and right to 1/8 inch stereo cable Run the left right out of the mixer into the Mikey blue Plug into your iPhone lighting charger port Turn on your native ios camera app and press record It will record audio and video simultaneously which you can then upload to your favorite site like RU-vid
My aim is just to learn to play by hear. Will I be better buying a digital piano or a midi keyboard with 88keys? Please suggest a model 🙏 Thanks & regards
It is painful how little effort Yamaha put into improving this. A color screen and few extra tweaks doesn't fix the tired sounds, keybed action and lack of expandability.
@@loritr Where did you order from? I preordered from Sweetwater and their entire first shipment had already been tagged out. I was told that I might not have mine until July.
@@squeakD : Good for you! How do you like it so far? I have had one on order for over 6 weeks now at Sam Ash and passed up on the Amazon purchase which would have been delivered tomorrow if I had ordered. I would rather buy from a local business whenever possible. Amazon is too powerful in the retail business. Hopefully my order will be filled very soon and I won't regret passing on the Amazon opportunity.
@@hatman50 hey! im not sure if you're asking just about the speaker on the keyboard, but if you are, at least in my opinion it's great! it sounds very clear and i really enjoy it =w= , i played one at guitar center and i love everything about this keyboard! except for the fact my room is small and i can barely fit it in here haha, but that's not the pianos fault!!
00:39 "So together we'll get to hear the new sounds of the DGX-670 I'm gonna give you as many audio examples as I can." 08:22 - (end of video) I only ever heard one sound example, being piano. :-)

@@PianoMan-hx3ev Pssst... Mine just arrived June 3rd 2021. But looking forwards, to the 700 you describe. 😁 If I can fly it through space, like Churh organs pilot the buildings through the air, I may buy one.
@ 4:34. Sorry, there is no way to connect a subwoofer (or any other external speakers) without the on-board speakers being turned off. The only audio output is the headphone output. And when you plug a cable into the headphone output, the on -board speakers automatically turn off.
I think there is a setting to where you can keep the onboard speakers turned on when you plug in a subwoofer into the headphone/output jack. You could do the same thing on the DGX-660
Been hearing about this keyboard for 6-7 months and zero to be had in the US. Probably not worth promoting anymore because they can't be obtained. Demos for items that are not on the market don't sell hardware.
I ordered mine from Seeetwater, and was told the entire first shipment is already tagged by pre-orders, and that I might not see mine until July, unless people cancel pre-orders.
