Cager, your review of the MT-10 was by Far the most entertaining 20 minutes I have come across anywhere on RU-vid to date, daylight a distant second. I nearly lost it ROTFL at your first wheely analysis. You captured what every rider feels like to be on two wheels.
Man! I'm in utah USA and I bought the bike you're in and LOvE it! Can I just say this was the most acurate review and most enjoyable review I've seen yet in my year of searching. If even in utah USA come see me and my FZ10 (mt10) is yours for the day! 👍
Great review, I think I've found my new bike. Your review was well rounded with high speed run that reviewers with this bike don't have excess to that I've seen so far. How the bike scared you and your reaction was priceless, cheers.
Have loved your videos since I first found them when I was a noob 5 years ago lol. This bike is amazing! The ONLY reason I decided to not buy it and stay on a sportbike was because I live where there are lots of highways and I need the wind protection. but MAN I had so much fun on this thing when I rode it. Glad you're still making vids!
Cager, I just laughed so hard I dropped my phone! I've watched your channel for a couple months now and I love every review and commentary you make. I've never once seen you freak out as much - maybe a little bit on the FZ09. As for me, I just bought my first bike - the FZ10! I keep it in STD mode with the traction control on max! It's powerful as all hell.. But if you treat it nice and gentle it will ride like a baby.. A 200 kilos baby, that is. I find that it's nimbleness along with ample power and upright sitting position make it perfect for what it is - a steer fighter! I ride it through traffic every day, and hit the canyons every weekend.. It's truly the perfect bike. I also broke off the plastic piece in the back. It snagged on my jeans when I pulled my leg up.. That really sucked. I also expected to get more than 30 mpg.. So maybe not a "perfect" bike.. But certainly perfect for me. Out of curiosity.. How do you feel about the all black color for the FZ10?
i love watching your reviews. got myself the nc750x and a year later upgraded to the mt09 after watching your reviews. possibly looking to upgrade to the mt10 next. thanks!
oh man i hope you good luck, be safe, on conservative side a bit to be safe. one of the best reviews you make. 1. great scenery, sky, roads, etc 2. personality, way of speech, not boring. 3. well presented videos. 4. no over use of youtubers cuts.
Roí a mão das unhas a ver este vídeo é mta força e a máquina parece que está sempre a pedir mais. Adoro as tuas reflexões da experiência em cima de qualquer moto.
Next generation of Yamahas would be like : A mode = Rain ; B mode = Standard ; no C mode ; D-1 mode = off-road ; D-2 mode = race ; E mode = surprise! ; STD mode = sport. Engineers are making a fool of us: "Let's make it as confusing as possible!" 😄 Anyway it seems to be a great and crazy bike, nicely reviewed as usual (loved your reaction after the power wheelie at 4:25) 😊
Dear Mr. Cager, Thanks for your review! It was hard to know which I liked best...what you said, or your accent as you said it!!! I've been looking for my 2nd bike for about 2 months now. I't isn't easy being a girl bike geek. However, I've vowed to keep looking until I find the right bike for me. I found a dealer that treated me like I was a real customer & not just some chick in the showroom waiting for her husband. I know they're kinda like a duel with a Samurai sword & a machete, but I'm torn between a 2017 Fz10 & a 2016 Versys 1000 lt. So I'm going back to the dealer to figure out with one might want to kill me, but falls in love with me & decides not to. Thanks again for your vlog.
So Cager, if you had to rate this bike. How many wasabi out of 10 would you give it ? Also the word you are looking for when you were talking about Thug is Character. The GSX 1000 S has less character and is more refined.
Is the fuel consumtion realy 0.8 as it stands in the official stats?? Why is it so unoptimized and if you compare to others with similar hp wich is around 0.6-0.7 l/10km. With gasprices in Sweden it will cost me around 300 Eur a year more in fuelcosts compared to the Z1000 wich has 140hp.
Oh my gosh so freaking awesome!!!! Lolol I had that exact same bike and color unreal awesome video!! Try it with a cat delete race filter and tune. 185 hp in B mode lol it's epic and sounds like Rossis bike!
It's always so much more entertaining to watch a video of your's when a bike stirs your emotions.I am not suggesting that you intentionally try to add that by the way.I really like this bike and the more that I see, hear, read, etc. about them the more I want one.I readily admit right now that it is way more than I need.Honestly most people don't need anything more than a 600,bikes are just that good today. This isn't really about need for me though,it is about pure want and passion.I thought that your thug description was very good by the way.It is precisely that thug nature with enough practicality out of beast mode to make it liveable and usefull in daily life that draws me to it.I am even beginning to like the front end, which I initially did not care for.
I hate the look of the seat. The 2 seat in 1 like the mt-09, but the Nuda 900 pulls it off. The seating on the mt-07 looks WAY much better. I like the nakeds like the superduke, s1000r, and the mt-07.
Do not know when you actually rode bike the bike, but the MT-10 has been on the market for at least 2 months. The different ride modes have been a topic everywhere and you sound/act surprised. I come from a Ducati Streetfighter 1098, no ride modes whatsoever. So no problems for me. I ride am MT-10. Otherwise your reviews are nice.
This motorcycle makes you a better rider Cager. The top speed is 155 mph and you did 247 Kph which is 153 mph which is really good for the first time. You say you own a FJ600.My last motorcycle was a Yamaha FZ6 and it had a inline four engine and good horsepower and torque. It was a 2009.I miss it.I had to sell it.I think I will get a KTM 390 duke or a Yamaha FZ09 or a Yamaha FZ10 like the one you tested depending on my budget.Keep up the good work my friend from Portugal !!!
Dear Mr. On2Wheels, I really enjoy your reviews! I used to count on my husband helping me think through decisions driven by my ovaries or my head [WidowSpeak for turning 60 life crisis]. But he's been in Heaven for almost 10 years now, so I'd like your help with my next bike decision. I learned to ride when I was 16 on a Kaw z900/1000 ltd. For my turning 50 crisis, I bought a Vulcan 1500, not bad bike for my first bike; but I was a little timid, didn't ride it much; so when we moved to our dream ranch (on the outskirts of no-where), my husband made me sell my bike to buy our tractor. We bought a Ford 8N, turned out, I put in more miles cutting the 3 acres of front lawn, than I ever would on the Vulcan. For my turning 55 crisis, I bought a '15 Ninja 1000. But I didn't spend enough time on it before I bought it, and I have bilateral knee replacements, that the footpeg to seat height kills me if I ride more than 30 minutes. Raising the overall seat height/lowering the pegs didn't work. So here's my question: I want a bike I can commute on, do some short touring (less than 300 miles), do 0-60 in less than 3.5 sec, weighs less than 475#, and most importantly won't aggravate my knees in the saddle! My choices are '17 Yam FZ-10 or '19 Tracer 900 [in my locale, the FZ is only 1K > than the Tracer]. Hint: My ovaries want the FZ-10, my head says there enough torque to spare, get the Tracer. If I was you favorite widowed cousin, which one would you advise me to get?
Hahaha. Made me giggle. Mine is decatted and will do that wheelie thing to you in fourth. I will argue that it's not the best long distance machine. It is very comfortable but probably too powerful. But, the main point is the tank range. Known as an Emp, Ty ten, in the UK. The best I've got so far is 130 miles on the motorway and the worst is 80 miles whilst out playing.
Nice one an reeeeealy honest.....i was laughing the whole time you cursed....:D but i get the idea of what you felt that exact moment....but i own a MT01 and know that one get used to the whole power thing...(yes it is the old one...that heavy lump of metal)..Ride safe my friend...
I have that bike it take smooth throttle movements and B mode is easy around town.you move the throttle way to quick for a liter bike.stick to your 600.lol maybe even learn on a 250.
Boa review! A estrada do "track test" tem partes um tanto perigosas, pois há carros e jipes que saem da estrada de terra batida e arrastam pedras e terra para a estrada. Já aí apanhei um susto na minha mota. ;)
