I totally love my 2017 MT10 to. The most thrilling bike I’ve owned and I am lucky enough to have had R1’s, FZS1000’s, a Stage II MT01 and many other motorcycles from all around the world. That CP4 motor has to be experienced! I am thinking of selling it, for an MT10SP. My single criticism is, if you lack self control you will attract the attention of the authorities inevitably. A staggering bike I enjoy every time I ride it.

Yes I made this vid over two and a half years ago and I've still got the bike. Every time I take it out I'm amazed how great that CP4 engine is. The longer I keep this bike the more attached I become, I've ridden it to lots of amazing places around Europe. It's a good point about self control, I ride alot with my wife who has a Triumph Street Triple and she is a calming influence. Thanks for watching the vid.

I wanted the SP too but the very best I could find for a 23 SP was 19500 out the door (including various fees california sales tax and registration etc) ...just for reference because the Black 2023 non SP I finally bought instead of the 23 SP was only $15,300 out the door so it was over 4000 for the semi active Ohlins! granted a couple other nice things like the belly cowl and braided brake lines. I just met another guy with brand new SP and he paid just short of $20k for his dang! I dont know if I am relieved or kicking myself. That suspesion is no doubt very nice but 4 or 5 k nice? I was thinking with the cash saved I could put on forged wheels, a lithium battery, and dang near enough saved to also buy a Penske shock too! the OZ wheels I found for 2500 the lithium battery is a couple hundred? and a Penske shock from 800 to 1500 I think For the same 20ish k which would be better? a stock SP? Or the standard 10 with 15llb lighter wheels a feather of a battery and a quality rear shock factory set for ME?

two brothers has a decat slip on that you can buy 2 different "power tips" for. Both reduce the noise level, the P1X provides the most reduction though. And it is a really mean sounding pipe, a lot cheaper than akro too.
@paulbarnes259
@paulbarnes259 5 лет назад
MT-10 Geared much lower than the R1 - go down one tooth on the rear sprocket = better fuel economy and less wheelies. 2Bros is loud. I have the P1X in and it's still very loud. But the noise is too good to hide :) Needs a tune if you decat but that equals more power - better fuel economy etc... This bike is awesome fun and if you want bits it's dirt cheap. R1 front master cylinder + new brake pads for more feel. some people take out the exup cables and motor and tie the valve open. (need to disable it in the ecu or add a terminal on the plug for the moter)

CookieMonster the Rider it's true, in fact 2017, the MT10 had THE quickest 0-60mph of ANY PRODUCTION. Motorcycle on earth at 2.5 seconds. Quicker than an R1, superduke 1290R, s1krr , anything. Most have no idea just how insanely quick they are! They make more torque than it's 200hp brother R1 but make it much lower in the rev range too, have a larger airbox, thus more airflow more torque, re-tuned with lower rev range gets u to jsut over 60 when u shift from 1st, perfect 0-60 monster then shifting at redline your well in the max torque band already which will carry u to 100+ beyond anyhing jsut about. Their also 2 teeth down. Essentially a sprint monster! Before they released Yamaha put out press videos hyping it up and at the time I had a 2015 R1M and when the 3rd sneak peak video came saying 0-60 in 2.5 I about crapped knowing it was quicker than my R1M lol

I know it's been some time since you prepared this review, but you did a great job. Very informative, very honest and very down-to-earth. So refreshing after watching endless reviews of fast road bikes by those who do not represent the normal, everyday motorcycling enthusiast, so thank you. Take care.

I have both. They are totally different. The fz/mt09 is very light, agile, with a more super moto riding position. The engine is also awesome, with great low down torque - will pull any gear well from only 3,000rpm. Simply love its 3 cylinder engine. The fz/mt10 is a beast. Had mine reflashed, Akra cat delete, using stock muffler. Bike sounds incredible. Is simply a beast. Loves fast sweepers. Very stable everywhere - corners, straights etc. Suspension is much better than fz09 or most other bikes - after carefully adjusted. Stock fz10 seat is bad. Changed to comfort seat immediately. Love both bikes -

@@mp22222 I'm also a massive fan of triples, mrs has a Street Triple 675 which I sometimes take out. I've ridden the XSR 900 which I loved and the new Tracer 900GT. The whole MT/FZ range are great bikes at decent prices. I must be the only MT10 owner who finds the stock seat comfortable :-)

Banditmanuk yes you are I own both the fz09 and the fz10 and the seat on the 09 is more comfortable but still not great, the stock seat on the 10 is like sitting on a board to me, fuel...well I don't tour with it so it hasn't been a problem, and we have gas stations everywhere in California...i cheat on my fz10 with the fz09 on occasion, but we have an open relationship so the fz10 doesn't mind....

Great genuine review. I’ve just bought an SP without test riding one first, but I just knew from lots of reviews it was the bike 4 me. I had a R1 for several years then onto a FZ1 so some would it’s natural progression. My tyre of choice it the Angle gt’s 2 which are absolutely superb in every way, which I’ll be fitting to it shortly. TOP TIP to keep them wheels a little cleaner, use Wurth dry chain Lube, apply to a warm chain (so after a ride ) on the inside . Looking forward to getting winter out of the way so I can get some miles on her corvid or no corvid , let the modifications begin.

If I had it to do over again I would have done like some do and ripped the OEM S22s off and gotten new premium tires from mile one and just sold the fresh new OE S=22s Bstones for top dollar on Ebay with photo clearly showing all the tit twigs proving they are new ....but instead I ran with em and was at the wear bar in the rear at a tad over 600 miles and were totally bald save a teensy bit of tread near the edges ...never did a single burn out no wheelies or donuts and hoestly I dont use the rear brake much even The OE Bstones are just CRAP for longevity! I mean they are really nice in the twisties as far as grip but that rubber just dissapears! SO FAST! I have heard that retail replacement S22s wear much better I heard there is much less tread depth on the versions Bstone sells to Yamaha for OE only ... but I didnt take a chance that this true. YMMV and WILL depending on what kind of riding you do but for only riding the twisties? The S-22s are SH!T

I kept my Versys 1000LT and sold my GSXR750 to get my MT-10. I've had it almost a year now and I love it. Versys for longer trips and taking the Mrs. MT-10 for solo trips and hooliganism.

Sorry about the late reply Chris. Congrats on the SP. I made this vid two years ago but still got the bike and still love it. I've never owned a sports bike so difficult for me to compare. Mine is still quite standard, most owners have de-catted and flashed the ecu but I'm happy as it is. In my latest vid a BMW M4 boots it as I try to pass....... its wasn't a match for the Yam! Biggest problem is holding the front down.

Few things as fellow 2 year MT10 owner 🙂 Actually FYI, I've owned 12 sports bike LAST being an R1M , the MT10 accelerates quicker 0-60mph than the R1 ,..or anything else out there! 0-60mph in 2.5 seconds becaue it makes more torque and down much lower, the 2 down teeth and retune make it so you hit redline jsut past 60mph setting it up for the quickest 0-60mph of any production bike (up to 2017) quicker than the R1, the superduke 1290R, Tuono Factory 1100 etc. so your gauge of how hard it pulls is accurate! 🙂👍 With torque, gearing, wind blast etc, my FZ10 (US) feels much quicker and faster than Amy of my superbikes and it is quicker (to 60mph) sure u loose out at top end hitting 155mph while an R1 flies on. Mine is modded and reflashed to where I could hit 167mph which is plenty for me. Had mine 2 years , bought new at US launch in 2017 lol for some reason they weren't catching on yet in US so I found one at launch from a California dealer that bought too many and in the uS they were marked up to $12,999 US msrp,..but I got mine a week after launch for $9,200 , NEW , 4 miles, full warranty, ZERO dealer fees, full warranty! Saved $3,700 plus a good $700 in fees. I've done everything from tracking mine to touring 1,200 mile trips to commuting daily in 110 degrees to snowy below zero . I didn't know that about adding extra fuel in there! Where were u last 2 years 😉 I've tracked mine and comming from an R1M I'd say a set of EBC pads are jsut as good as brembo pads and braided lines and much cheaper! Here's my thoughts on the exhaust, my first mod was a decat pipe, mainly because I had a full system on my crossplane R1M and I LOvE the v4 like sound from the crossplane 4, plus it was new so nothing was out yet but the other big reason was the first week riding , it's SO quiet on the freeway that I had people turning into my lane daily not hearing or seeing me. After a week I almost got pushed into the underside of a semis truck trailer so I had to change it. Here's the trick,..the Factory exhaust is steel EXCEPT the end can , which is titanium, looks good, can't get lighter than Titanium, has a large opening stock SO for me a decat pipe was my first thought jsut to see what it did,...I could've paid $425+ for a Termignoni or $130 for a DanMoto (a company in California). On heir website they made some good points, it's a short pipe, same diameter as the top end pipes, same welding process, better warranty and 1/4th the price SO for $130 I bought one, I compared it to a Termignoni $475 shipped pipe and couldn't tell a difference , maybe a sliiiiight bit in welds but about not. Entry, exit , internal diameter, measurements to the Y was identicle so I sent back the Termi and took 90 minutes on a Saturday and installed the Y-pipe. First off, the Cat is extremely heavy! 28lbs or something like that, track guys spend a fortune knocking off 2 lbs here and there, where else can u she'd 28 LBS for $130!!?? Subtract that from the Factory dry weight and it's a new number much better spec wise to the competitors. Only reason it took 90 minutes was I tried alone and if u grab a buddy to put pressure on the Factory end can it will go much faster. Guys she's a couple more lbs removing the exhaust flap motor under seat and cables BUT that's weight u won't feel and I had read that once you pull the cables thru they are nearly impossible to re-route if u want it back in for whatever reason , plus if u remove the flap motor it throws a code because it's not there, if you leave the motor , hooked up and cables ran, at the end of cables tuck them in to the top of he swingarm, there a perfect nearly intentional depressed area where you push them into that spot and they are out of the way, nowhere to go, no where to catch, and they still operate, the motor thinks it's opening and closing the flap and the ECU does as well so no codes. It's just adjusting the cables and there's nothing attached. THeN if u want the cat back on or buy a system down the road that uses the cables or have a dealer issue, throw the cat back on reattach the end of cables and your done: no reflashing the ecu, no 20+ hours of re-routing cables etc. the SECONd I fired up the bike I was in heaven!!!! The air box on the MT10 is much bigger than the R1 and the re-tune runs thru the revs much quicker and lower revs so it has a throaty nasty growl when reving! I truly believe it sounded as good as my R1M's full $3,200 Akra Titanium full system! May sound rediculous but I believe so. It's loud for sure, sounds very MotoGP BUT 2 years riding I never once had an issue, I loved it from day one to day I sold. I did 1,200 mile trips with no issues or complaints! 6th gear at legal speed limits with cruise on it was relatively quiet but I never ONCE had a car turn in my lane from then on, people can hear u when your next to them at 80mph safety! Took it to the dealer once and never had a question about the cat being gone. They had to flash a code for a light that was common where on some 2017 FZ10's if you started to turn the key and didn't finish the turn for whatever reason it set a code. My gloves one snowy winter got caught on the brake line to where I didn't finish turning the key. Butnits nice to know if a dealer said where's your cat, you can go home and throw t back on if they happen to care. For ANYONE that enjoys sound of a bike, do the $130 Y pipe before spending a small fortune on a full system or a cat back or even slip on . If you're looking for sound, leaving the cat in and getting an end can does literally nothing at all unless going a SC project GP shorty but even then its minimal. Leave the Titanium stock endcan and go cheap ypipe and see what u think. The other advantage is IF you choose to get a new end can, the cat delete pipes that work with Factory header and Factory can have the same outlet point as the stock cat, so you can then but jsut a slip on for "Factory cat" mt10's and the connection point is the same location As the stock cat exit. Adding a slip on to the cat delete y pipe will make a difference and save u money from buying a cat back system or say Akras $375 cat delete pipe and $720 end can. $1,000 or domed $130 and find an end can u like. There's a lot of nice Titanium or carbon fiber slip ins out there for $150. The sound is amazing!!! If u want to hear how it sounds, Go to the youtuber motovlogger in the US named "The Muscle Biker" his MT10 just has a cat delete and he does fly bys and comparisons in the canyons to other bikes and systems. Sounds amazing! It truly sounds like a muscle car if you are in front of it on the steeet behind it and it's sounds MotoGP. Comming from a modded R1M I being 15hp down from the superduke 1290R and Tuono 1100 I wanted the equivalent hp for the track, so having a much larger airbox. I bought a race filter, ($80) and then did some research and decided to reflash the ecu. Was simple to pull the ECU, instructions and youbute videos make it simple. I then mailed it to NelsTune they had it back to me in 4 days. I told them with order, my elevation I primarily ride at, mods added. (They will set it to that specific build) decat pipe, Factory can and headers, race filter, and what type of riding I wanted it set for, commuting and some track days. They reflashed it, smoothed out the throttle, they can remove the light for the exhaust flap if u pull the cables, raise the redline/revlimiter, ups your top end too, brings the already crazy low torque band down even lower and more broad . Shipped back to me for less than $400, and 178.5hp at the crank, that's a 18.5hp add over stock (of course with filter and decat. That's over 2017 superduke R hp , Tuono 1100 hp for less than $600 and don't yourself! Again the MT10 STOCK is quicker 0-60 than any sports bike, superduke , hypernaked of any kind , the adds and flash jsut made an already insane bike rediculous! Very very noticeable add in power, smoother throttle, higher rev limiter /redline which got me from 155mph to 167 mph top end. Still not a 195mph superbike but on a track helps a lot with back straights. With GPS recorder I was able to clock a 2.4 second 0-60 consistently after jsut an hour or so. Be sure and stay on TC1 or most sensitive depending on what to keep wheelie control on if launching. End result was quickest 0-60 of any production bike on earth, quicker than HyperCars costing $1M , awesome commuter , 2 up bike, (Much better for 2 up riding than any sorts bike , more comfortable for either person. No wrist pressure) AMAZING tourer , best wheelie machine money can buy, canyon carver , year round bike, I've hit dirt roads , and amazing track bike! All at half the cost of a hypernaked! I LOVE the looks, and here in utah US, there jsut aren't any of these around still so it got SO many looks and thumbs ups from guys on s1000rr's, v4 Ducatis, soccermoms, kids , Harley Davidson bikers, about all groups! I also had zero issues with engine or anything else! Point is I left superbikes (12 of them) 26 years riding street and track becaue of a wreck that messed my back up, the position on sportsbikes was too painful and I was depressed leaving them knowing they were the top of the performance Line but then saw a RU-vid video by 44teeth, where Barron Von grumble said at the MT10 launch that this new naked R1 would keep up with sportsbikes all day long on the street and he laughed and giggled the entire video on one wheel, then Al Fagan, BSB legend said it was one of the best bikes he's ever rode and the most fun,..a British superbike legend! So I went and rode a Superduke 1290R , a Tuono Factory and loved them but $20,000+ oitthe door was insane to me , bought a MT10 at launch after seems those videos , site unseen and it's been the MOsT fun bike I've ever owned!

I stopped reading when you claimed to have shed 26 pounds with exhaust swap LOL ....yeah RIGHT! As if the replacement exhaust weighed nothing That and some other bogus statements like EBC pads miraculously being the instant upgrade to equaling or better than Brembo or steel braided lines etc. Braided lines are way better a couple years down the line when non braided rubbers have had their day ....but while still new the OE rubbers are fine just dont keep claiming it endlessly

Dear Mr. Bandit, Thanks for your thoughts on the most charming bike in the world. I hope to pick mine up before the end of next month. I too, was torn between the 10 & the Versys 1000. But I think since I've been driving a minivan for the last 10 years, it was kinda making me feel old before my time. So I decided that I can live off of the thrill my bike is to ride & the smile it puts on my face! P.s. thanks for the gas top-off tip. I know there are other more economical bikes out there, but I doubt they can thrill me like this one can, so I'll be smiling @ the gas pump...

@@davidleroth8644 I've owned plenty of four cylinder bikes and this is all together different. The crossplane crank does make a difference, love the rougher sound but compared to a mates FZ1n I think there is more power low down. Also remember its massively geared down on the sprockets compared to the R1. Genuinely the biggest problem getting away fast is keeping the front end down as it has a very short wheelbase. Best thing to do is a test ride, I wasn't even looking to buy this bike four years ago but just took it out on a whim, was hooked after 10 mins. Just beware its very thirsty! Other than that, its the best bike I've owned in 40 years of riding.

boo-boo I did wonder if on a hot day I might see petrol forced out of the overflow when parked with a full tank, but no nothing out the overflow. That insert is so the pump cuts off when the tank is nearly full to stop you overflowing. It's also there to stop you putting the nozzle in to far and perhaps damaging anything in the tank. Be better with a simple bar over like my old triumph. Wife's Street Triple has nothing at the top of the tank, just fill it up

Whenever I refit the Cat (for touring) I don’t bother connecting the cables. You can remove them and leave the motor connected to avoid any EM lights. I lockwire the EXUP open and leave it like that. I normally run a decat and Akra can and it’s stupid loud. You also need a flash if you want to mitigate the resultant slight loss in mid-range.

Coming from a 18 tuono , 2018 cbr1000rr , 2019 panagale v4 , this bike is such a fun powerful bike. It’s not as fast in the top end as tuono or pani but damn she’s a blast to ride and supremely comfortable. Even the tuono was racier in its riding position which hurt my back. Gas mileage sucks but I guess you can’t have everything!

Similar for me I am about 70 and still had never owned a REAL liter bike so it was sort of a bucket list item.... it IS lunacy! My new 2023 MT10 is simply ridiculous but damn is it FUN! I wore the rear tire BALD by 900 miles the break in period even! Which I DID honestly ride at low rpm for the first couple hundred miles and even after that I never really held it at high rpm for mor than very short bursts ...riding in the twisties this bike just EATS rear tires it seems! As a comparison I got 2500miles on my OE rear tire on the 22 Yam 9. I really do LOVE this motorcycle except for fuel rannge and tire longevity ...Ive been told that "MT" must be shorthand for "Empty" lol either that or the abrieviation for "More Tires" lol

Great and comprehensive assessment of the MT-10. When I first heard the sound of a CP4 engine, I just fell in love with it. The only thing I'd differ on is the standard seat, which I couldn't put up with, so replaced with the comfort seat, which was fine for a 4 day 600 mile run around Cherbourg last month. I had a go on a demonstrator last Oct. and I was completely besotted by it. Got my new bike just as the snow arrived in March! I've put on a screen, h/bar guards, 2 types of mirror extenders(brilliant), a fender extender, rad guard, rear rack(with Givi plate) and most important, a comfort seat on mine. The most common word most people, who've got these, seem to use to describe them is 'MAD', but in a good way! If you've been used to hydraulic clutches, the cable clutch can seem a bit 'grabby', but all is forgiven once you wind the bike up a bit. The acceleration is amazing and it's just wants to wheelie, if you don't push the front down. It also accelerates so quickly in 6th gear, I sometimes have to check to see which gear I'm in. I may be 67 years old, have had big bikes all my life and I'm an ex-drag racer, but this bike is just wonderful. I have other big bikes, but they've remained in the garage since I bought it!

@RichardASK
@RichardASK 6 лет назад
Hi John. I haven't ridden the SP, but with a few mods, the standard bike is an absolute hoot. What Banditmanuk say is all pretty much correct, but I do feel the mods I've made make the bike better, for what I want. I haven't ridden an XSR, but I think you need to prepare yourself for a bit of a shock with the MT-10. Be careful with the throttle, because the acceleration is something else(I used to drag race many, many moons ago), but I've never got back home from a ride with anything other than a stupid grin. Good luck, but take it easy.

John Naunton Being honest I love the look of the XSR 900, Think I did a vid when I borrowed one while my bike was being serviced. Think you buy a bike with your heart rather than head. The MT10 is thirsty but the way it goes and sounds is amazing. I'm definitely keeping mine at least another year, nothing out there that betters it in my opinion.

I've had mine a similar time but have done less (kms) miles. One thing I do with filling, because I mostly ride with the misus we have some set rides which we can usually do on a tank. I top up the tank at home which is essential as you say she's pretty thirsty but then we bought it because it goes like the proverbial and a Tuono doesn't suck juice any less. The home top up saves the frantic fill at the BP. I haven't gone through as much rubber even two up on shitty West Australian roads. The battleaxs have done okay. I thought two up I hadn't been getting over far but the tyres tell a different story wearing to the edge! We generally do two hour rides or thereabouts. Like you once i rode it at the dealers i was hooked. It rides more like a 600 as it is light, I don't like heavy bikes, they don't suit my style. I did my own mods to the passenger pegs adding about 70 mill for her long legs. Good luck for the future, agree it's a great bike. I'm 69 and find it amazing.

@@Banditmanuk there’s not many new Mt10 left in the dealerships because of the new one coming out. I think behind the scenes Yamaha can’t deliver any stock. @Banditmanuk
@Banditmanuk 2 года назад
@@buddysinsight9834 Supply is an issue. I made a recent vid about should I upgrade to the new model. I went to Tamworth Yamaha UK to ask when the new model was coming in as I was possibly interested. They couldn't tell me and weren't even interested in taking my details as they expected supply issues. The fuel costs definitely add up especially for my wife and I as she rides a Street Triple 675 on tour when I'm on my MT10. For comparison both of our bikes have 17L tanks, the MT10 will be completely empty at about 120 miles the Triumph will do about 180 on the same amount of fuel. Ride the MT10 hard and that 17L tank could be completely empty at 100 miles so touring does take some planning where fuel stations are. The new model is slightly better on fuel apparently, but not by much. Consumption and range is the only small downside of what is otherwise an amazing, exciting, comfortable, reliable and fun machine.

Boom Box I debated the Tuono Factory when I bought the MT10, the mileage is so bad becaue it's so much fun lol constant wheelies and 0-60 sprints, found myself always in B mode and screwing around so I can't blame the bike. It's not noticeable beyond a Tuono or superduke. Couple dollars more a month in gas is all. Asvantage of this over the Tuono is reliability, dealer networks, price , and decat it and the crossplane 4 is very Aprilia v4 like in sound with a $130 cat delete pipe . Cheaper insurance too. I was looking at the 2017 Tuono Factory when I bought my MT10 , $17,500 + fees for me out the door of dealer at over $20,000,...a Tuono RR 1100 was $14,500 plus fees which put me over $17,000 out the door, the MT10 new at launch. Was $12,999 but I got for $9,200 new shopping around out the door, no dealer fees. Brand new, no miles, full warranty! Less than half the cost of the Tuono Factory. Owned 2 years and the most. As it was explained to me its about the amount of time it takes for the abs light to go out from stop. Once the bike has been started and run a few metres down the road everything should function just fine. From parked up off don't give a handful on wet or damp roads, you may regret it!

12,500 miles? I thought the English used the metric system? My 1993 Vmax gets 25 mpg (10.63 kpl). At the 90 miles mark I switch to reserve and look for a gas station, err petrol station...sorry. j/k I will definitely buy an MT-10. Thanks for the video, very helpful.
@Banditmanuk
@Banditmanuk 5 лет назад
We have adopted the metric system on most things here in Britain but we do like to be different to our European neighbours. Speed limit signes and vehicle speedometers are in MPH, petrol (gas) sold in litres. The MT10 will definitely need filling up around the 100 mile mark but will do 130 ish on motorways (Highways) It is a great trouble free bike now at 16500 miles. Most people still measure fuel consumption in miles per gallon here but unfortunately our gallons are slightly different to American gallons. All super confusing! Glad you found the vid helpful and thanks for calling by the channel.

Just know if you de-cat that bike it will run too lean and you will lose hp unless you flash that ecu. typical setup is a high flow air filter and de-cat pipe with whichever slip on but i would just leave the factory one on and get it flashed. If you use the stock muffler your looking at about 500 US dollars. That will make the mt-10 come alive about 30 more hp and a smooth throttle. kinda stuck on being louder though i cant think of anything that will compete with stock. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wlvSHeu11Gw.html

Best way to keep the wheels clean, use cheaper lube like dr wrench from auto parts store, not that tack on bs from the bike store (scam stuff really). Ride it after lubing a few miles at "highway speeds" to let excess oil splat off, THEN give the wheels a solid cleaning using that chain lube, make sure you clean it and paper towel it to fully dry, don't use water. If you do all that, you shouldn't see dirt on them for 300-1000miles, and by them i of course mean the rear, I clean the front using the lube as well. but that's not the one that gets dirty fast.

This is a really nice looking bike, it's the shape I like and wheel color has nothing to do with it because even if it had black rims I would like it just as much. That X-up valve in the exhaust is a nice feature because it really helps with the low end and mid range torque, if it were mine I would keep that valve even if I did not keep any other part of the exhaust. (I would fix the motor or relay clicking that is under the seat) I glad you stated how tall you are because usually on this type of bike I look like I'm too big to ride it. I'm 6'1" @ 280 lbs and ride a concours 14. I will never be small because at 212 Lbs I had 9% body fat, yes I lift heavy weights and have for most of my life so I need a big bike. Excellent, honest appraisal. Rather an odd choice for a tourer if I may say so? I think they look awesome to be honest, and you would never know that you have done that many miles looking at the bike. If it 'fits' you....it's probably way too tall for me! What chain lube do you use with yellow wheels?... it took me what seemed like hours yesterday to get my alloys looking 'reasonable' ! As a side note what are those gloves?
@Banditmanuk

Paul Lee Ha ha yes an odd choice for a tourer; simply its so much fun to ride I live with the problems of consumption and range. Usually I have preprogramed routes in my Sat nav with filling stations so as not to worry about running out. Use Yamaha Yamlube on the chain sparingly after cleaning. Gloves are just cheap Hunter summer gloves picked up from Paignton bike fest for £5.00! Wear them with my vented kit on these really hot days.

Not intimidating but still a great fun bike you won't feel the need to upgrade from after a couple of months.
