The stronger side pa5x vs genos2 is the pads and synths. But just because the weight and user friendly I choose Genos cause I use it 3 times a week on gigs. No need to hurt my back on korg. 😌
I do wish people would stop comparing Keyboard, s if you want a korg buy one if you want a Genos 2 buy one comparing things does nothing people look for different things in Keyboard, s and at the end of the Day people will choose what Keyboard is Right for them
That's the reason to do these comparisons, just to help people to get to choose the right keyboard for their needs. Doing these comparisons isn't for to say which keyboard is good or bad, it's just to show what capabilities each instrument has.
@synth.s I would Agree on that one but the only way to hear them properly is to go into a shoo to get the real picture of the instrument as you tube does nothing and also compression comes in to this you don't get the real sound and it gives a false impression

U are right its like compare cars the one goas for the lable the other for technology. But no car is bad. My choice was easy i did trade my Genos 1 and did buy the Genos 2 ,im very much happy with the Genos2 no matter what any person think of it
Yamaha sounds sharp to the ear and that is also the case with amplifiers, I miss the warmth in the sound, it is sound but you have to love it, with Korg the sound is more pleasant, more warmth, but that is my opinion......
Hi, Great Video, thank you for posting this. BTW on Genos while being in the style creator you said you can't go to the mixer, this is wrong (at least it works for genos 1): press Direct Access button and then the variation you're editing. You'll get to the mixer that will allow to setup stuff per variation ;) I'm not familiar with korg but it looks very nice. Can you tell whether its stable in the recent OS update or it still crashes/reboots from time to time?
One point no one talks about. The Pa5X is the only arranger that you can get that has an 88 wooden action, AND, it comes from Italy. That means it doesn't use that HORRIBLE RH3 Japanese action, but uses a FATAR key bed!!! TAKE THAT YAMAHA!! LOL
What is your idea about sound set that global sound sweden made for korg pa5x? I want to know your idea about these sound they have youtube demo of these sounds for korg pa5x.

I hope korg pa5x give updaye operating system that we have bass and guitar accord recorded sample pattern that we can use in creating style like ketron event . Thats only benefit that ketron event have beside korg pa5x.
I agree with you. I have korg pa5x too. And Im very happy with that but I hope they can add live guitar recorded loop pattern that we can add to our custom styles cuz its only thing that ketron has benefit to other arranger then in all other area korg has high superiority to all brands like yamaha and ketron.😊
By the way, if you've pleasure good playing, and fun, any keyboard is in my modest opinion a good keyboard, doesn't mater TYROS 1 2 3 4 5 GENOS KORG KETRON ROLAND etc etc, isn't it???😂
I bought a genos 2 three weeks ago and gave it back to the store. I will buy a Korg pa5x. Korg can so much more. But Yamaha Genos 2 is very interesting, for example the Country Styles are very good now, the Drums are more acoustic. It is the best Keyboard that Yamaha build till today and it sounds better than Genos 1. Yamaha Genos 2 cons: - the rotary Volume knob is slippery, I don't like it - the FSX Keyboard is perfect, but you cannot play Piano on it well, it is nothing for piano players. The new CFX grand is an improvement, but it is not enough for piano players. - all knobs are to sensitive and may break quickly. All the hardware doesn't seem to be that high quality - I don' t found very smooth strings and very smooth Pads on Genos 2 - the sound is great, but it is looped, not streamed - the keyboard sounds great, but never like a band (not realistic) If you like perfect polished sound than genos 2 is for you. 20 things that the Genos 2 cannot do compared to the korg pa5x: 1. no (smaller 61 or) weighted 88 Fatar keyboard 2. No fancy aluminum casing 3. No elegant look with wooden side panels 4. no SST (Smooth Sound Transition) 5. no ribbon controller 6. No replaceable joystik 7. No tiltable display with lock 8. No two crossfade style players 9. no (four) buttons to "fill in" 10. no instrument and favorite buttons 11. no drum matrix with 16 pads 12. no chord display during the intro 13. No photo-like display of HD quality images 14. No colored lights to make operation easier 15. no streamed samples 16. No way to influence every drum parameter (bass drum, snare, hi hat etc. can not only be exchanged, but can also be influenced individually via EQ.) 17. no sounds from Nautilus, SV2 and Korg synths, no sound palette reminiscent of the HD-1 engine in the Kronos. Especially the piano, strings, brass, synthesizers are very well done. 18. No way to do “everything” in the keyboard itself 19. no 160-note polyphony 20. no sample memory twice as large as the Korg Pa5x (4 GB in the Korg, expanded to 8 GB instead of 3 GB) what I miss on the korg pa5x - no WAV recording - no 10 registration buttons In other cases it is much better. And on the 88 key version you can play piano very well.
