I was just about to skip this sound demo section, because in my experience most workstation brass sounds are not great. But these are pretty good. We sure have come along way since the JV 1080s brass sounds. By the way thanks for doing this I really appreciate it. Best demo of this keyboard on RU-vid👍👍🔥🔥😊😊
I think the Roland JV-1080 is still an absolutely fantastic piece of equipment and I personally like Roland's digitized PCM sounds but I also like the Yamaha AWM2 sounds, I even have a few of these sounds in Halion 6. But I am or was considering buying either a Yamaha Tyros 4 or Tyros 5 until someone recommended I check out the Montage. I wish it did have all the same saxophone and instrument sounds as Halion 6 but many of Halion's sounds were culled from Yamaha arranger keyboards such as Tyros 2. I also like the fact Montage also has FM synthesis as well as AWM 2.
Update, I very nearly bought a Yamaha Tyros 5 but because I resgned from work I don't want to buy an expensive keyboard just in case I ended up having to sell it again.
Hi buddies, excuse me Could You help me to decide What keyboard to choose I am only interested in Sound Quality so Are there any difference in the Sound Quality between Montage vs Modx? Or they both have the same Quality of Sound? The same engine Sound? Million of thanks in advance 🙏 and Many blessings to all of You Guys! 💚
i have both fantom and montage between the 2 i would choose montage with regards to sound and programmability. i had modx but upgraded to montage because of build quality and keybed, otherwise modx is good.
synthartist69 Yep. Have watched it already but that's about synth strings... i was thinking about the real thing. Should we expect a video about it? Thanks in advance... BTW i am almost convinced ... I think i will very soon have a modx and thanks for the great demo videos.
As much as I adore this keyboard could help myself laughing right at the beginning. FM Sax? You should hear my 4operator DX100/11 self programmed saxes. Even my Growl Sax sounds more realistic. Would put any DX7 to shame........Don't shoot the messenger though....
I only wish they were the same saxophones as what are on Yamaha arranger keyboards like the PSR-SX keyboards and flagship keyboards such as Tyros 2 and 3. If Steinberg's Halion can feature those Super Articulation saxophone samples and Motif then why can't Yamaha MODX and Montage? Actually they are not bad saxophone samples and on here they do at least sound a bit more superior compared to Halion Sonic SE. Soprano soft is still a decent soprano saxophone but I prefer how it sounds on Yamaha arranger keybaords and Motif without the key clicking, I'm not sure weather or not you can disable the key clicking sounds.
funguy29 true but the Kronos is 3 times the cost and no way is the Kronos that much better so it’s an unfair comparison. This should be compared to the Krome and this is much much better and opens up really good options for anyone on a budget.
@@sheffsteel7 I dont think the price is 3X... but in any case i'm always looking for something that outdoes the Kronos and cant find anything. BTW the Kronos also outdoes the similarly priced Montage.
funguy29 Kronos guitars don’t outdo Modx though...Kronos should be killing in every category but they fell off bad with electric guitars and guitar articulations overall
