Thank you for that. You have produced one of the best MoDX demos of piano sounds on You Tube. It's a powerful instrument and your playing is very advanced and sophisticated. Well done.
You are sick! A little upset right now with you because I wanted to go to bed and I found more videos of you. Of course, I have to listen. Totally, totally awesome!
Great playing on a super instrument. Did I detect a bit of David Foster in there? I will hopefully get mine by end of September. Yamaha have major backlogs due to a factory fire.
Wonderful job! The the music is on point for such a beautiful sounding piano keyboard! Just curious, is there a name for the tune @0:21 ? I would love an extended version of that. It's very nice sounding!
Sounds amazing.. I am a proud new owner of a modx8 .... Just curious what layer patch are you using @ 2:30 of video??? Very elegant piano/string sound... Looking for a slow string sound like that but obviously nothing generated under search "slow strings"
Are there particular songs/pieces you are playing in this video? Or playing snippets from, that I can look up? Absolutely love your playing and the music!
Hey! I have the MODX8 and the CFX Piano tone on there sounds very cheap and muffled. I'm playing through a pair of Behringer Truth b2031a Studio monitors. So why does the cfx pianos sound so bad? Do I need different speakers? Thank you for reply!
@@shalomgallegos halo again, im bout to buy modx at the moment, may i ask important question, how does the touch keys feel? is it as hard as montage or rd700?
It’s too easy, just you need a usb. download the update and put it in the memory and then put the usb in the modx, after that, you must press the "utility" button and the up arrow buttom before turning it on and during startup
Hello Friend. Did you edit any parameters inside the keyboard to make it sound really beautiful or did you just play it without editing any timbre? I am very interested in buying this keyboard, but I have a friend who bought it and then sold it. He talks a lot, but he talks very badly about this keyboard. This keyboard can't sound that bad. If you can answer me I thank you too much, because I am researching him enough to make the purchase and not regret it. Thank you!
Marcelo Neto Berland Hello Marcelo, this keyboard is nice, i just play with modx’s sounds, without modifications. Well, i like it so much. You need to try it. Your friend is bad then 😂 (it's only a joke)
@@shalomgallegos My friend is really bad ... rsrsrsrsrsr .... He doesn't understand anything about good keyboards. I'm even going to buy this MODX, its sounds are breathtaking.
@@netomusical1 I have the MODX7 and the sounds are great - you may need to tweak the velocity offset parameter on some sounds otherwise you are tending to hit the keyboard a bit hard to get the tone you want, other than that, the sequencer is fiddly and lacks the ability to play one shot sequence parts (that question I have asked many times and no-one can answer - the only workaround seems to be sampling the sequenced part and triggering that from a note). But, for a performance keyboard (as being different from a workstation) the MODX is perfect - it seems to need a lot less tweaking to sound great for the stage than the Roland competitor in this price range (The FA series). It would be great to have aftertouch, but at this price point ... meh ...
@@MKA63 Thank you very much for your reply my friend. I already have mine in my hands. I picked it up this week and I'm already working on his edits. There is still a lot to learn, but the most I like it. The sounds are of excellent quality. Since you mentioned the Roland brand, I hate it, I really don't like it. Yamaha is much more faithful to the original tones. Thank you so much again. And if you have a video that could send me how to boost its sound, I would be very grateful. Hugs...
Disappointed with the Modx plus piano sounds. You mixed with lots of EP's, pads, etc. which convoluted the actual piano sounds. ModX pianos are boxy and woody sounding with too much bass. I compared the piano samples with the CK-88, huge difference. I was hoping the samples would be the same so I could use the ModX for my piano needs and have the FM/synth engines, sadly not the case. Is there a solution that will give me the best of both worlds in one keyboard?
