Yamaha Montage Envelope Follower: The Secret Weapon to complex, evolving synth sounds! 

This is excellent. When you turned off the drums output but still had the follower effect, it made such perfect sense and sounded great. I got my Montage 6 yesterday. There is much work to do!

After buying montage (through six months) I couldn’t understand the basic philosophy. I have read many times reference manual and I didn’t understand anything. Many times I wanted to buy motif series. After watching your videos I just understood how amazing the montage is. I think the biggest problem for the montage at selling point (I thing it sells lower than Kronos or motif series) it is complex or new to the synth world. Thanks.

This is a real secret weapon for sure. I love side-chains and I can't believe it trumps side-chain. This function can be used to run a whole beat, imagine introducing the super-knob. I think the drawback to to the Montage is that it is a synth way ahead of it's time and people don't want to or don't have the time to learn to master it. I think the great Yamaha Guru Bert, had said it would take a professional a year or two to conquer. Someone can correct me on this but the essence is that he said this board is the 'one' and time is needed. Montage is the new 'KING'♡♡

You gave me the final push to buy a Montage, I’m getting one this week. Great videos with in depth knowledge. They reveal the true power of the Montage.

Dom, This is an very old function. something develop? For example in my band we have 1 guitar player. If I record 1 guitar track (WAV) may this envelope follower to fix the tempo of this track with real band?
