Hi. Very nice tutorials on the montage. Just one question, please: When using A/D inputs, we have mic, line and intrument levels. Is there a way to select the level type on the montage? A guitar level will be very low level whereas a mic level will be hot.....How does the montage deal with this? The gain knob alone takes care of everything? LoL. Thank you.
it’s a good question but yes, as far as i know, the gain takes care of it. so a guitar or dynamic mic needs a fair bit of gain, whereas a preamp’d mic or a line level will not. i haven’t seen any switches or settings to select mic or line level input. Let me know if you find any information contrary to this!
@@MichaelTanMusic exactly. I dont know i they didn t use a combo xlr/trs input jack. Regarding levels for guitars a DI box will solve the problem and inject a good line level. Thanks Michael.
Michael, thanks a lot, this is really cool. Do I get it correctly, if you can do this to a guitar signal, you can do very similar thing to a mic as well? Can I use the montage as a vocal effect while still using all the keyboard functions and voices? Is this true for the MODX too? Thank you!
Really good tutorial! Do you know how to connect 2 guitars to Montage 6 simultaneously using 2 tracks without using a computer? I can connect one guitar without any issues, but I would like to connect both bass and electro. Is it better to use active or passive guitar? Thanks!
Hi Michael, hope your doing well. When are you uploading rest of the videos. As you mentioned that you have 30 planned videos in total...... ? Would be great if you can do a video on how to have effect on mic like you did for the guitar. Video on how to connect with logic pro x, how to transfer files from montage to computer, backing up montage.
Is this one of those custom shop Strat? It looks nice & clean, probably expensive from the sound of it lol...The LP can take a seat 💺- I guess you can tell my preference between the two heehee 😉
