Same here 38 years started in 1985 on the 600r ninja, still have, on up to liter and over but time to relax, burnt my hair off no need to scalp myself was thinking about some small risers myself

Not quite as old but same here. Started on a 500 twin and worked up to a litre sport bike amd currently on a 500 adventure. Can't wait to scale back to a bike that will boost my confidence and increase my enjoyment and time in the saddle .. let me know what size riser you go with. I may do the same but don't want to fool around with changing up cable and lines... Safe riding !
I'm Brazilian, I live in São Paulo and I just got my dreamed MT 03 year 2022/23. It has only 80km on it and draws attention wherever I go. It's soooo fun and badass! I call, she answers!
Yessssir! I live in Florida a good ways north of you and my MT03 took care of me today on a 60 mile road trip back from my cousins at night on some dark backroads. Reliable machine with the right rider and a very forgiving bike!
Reminds me of my 2019 Svartpilen 401. There has never been a situation where I needed more power. Gorgeous design and excellent sound even with the stock exhaust. Unfortunately I had to sell it because I‘m gonna spend 100km on the highway everyday and it just is no fun there. When I‘m in the financial situation to be able to afford multiple bikes, I will get one again for sure. Unlike the Duke 390 they aren‘t even that expensive on the used market because they aren‘t very popular.
You should have kept it for the weekends and gotten a ninja 650. That bike is perfect for the highway, comfy, roomy, enough power, cheap compared to everything else, reliable. I used to do 60km on my ninja every single day on the highway. And it felt like a short city ride. Good fun on the weekends in the mountains too.
I have a 1986 Honda V65 Magna and a 2015 Kawasaki Versys 1000 and I am seriously considering an MT-03 as a small lightweight city commuter. The big bikes aren't enjoyable in stop and go traffic.
When I bought my R3 I thought I'd sell it eventually. 5 years and 85k miles later and it the best city bike hands down. I've turned it into a naked bike and have the mt-03 handle bars now. I can do 8 hr trips to SoCal now no problem and don't need to stop 20 times to stretch/rest anymore.
@@therealfakecaptain7978 There is not that much difference between them. I have seen plenty of races between them on RU-vid. The Duke wins by a bike. But the MT 03 has a higher top speed. 😉.
@@teteakhiangte6015 I understand that but I still do not think there is enough difference between the performance of them to make a big difference. At least from the hundreds of videos I have watched. IMO it comes down to brand,style, and dependability.
Great ride video! All the MT 03 needs is to change out the throttle tube with the R6 throttle tube. Best 36 Euros you can spend. 😆. The bike really comes alive!!
@@hazvaldo4016 The original throttle tube has a lag in the response when you twist it. And to get full throttle you have to twist your wrist back so far it is uncomfortable. Some people complain about this for highway riding. The R6 throttle tube is very responsive. It might be too twitchy for beginners.
in the united states,motorcycles can enter the highway.there is also a strange road called a motorway in Korea, and motorcycles cannot enter the highway.i'm jealous.
could you please explain me the motion you do at 2:50? i have the same bike and am a new rider.. am trying to downsift a gear let's say from 4th to 3rd and i cant understand why you apply throttle twice.. all i know is to downshift i have to be zero throttle and then a quick rev match to downshift

Σαν κατοχος εχω ν πω το εξης... δεν ειναι για ανετα ταξιδια διπλο. Το 100αρι το εχει ανετα διπλο παντως κ με οροφη προς τα πανω για προσπερασεις. Κοινως η μηχανη αντεχει.Το ερωτημα ειναι εσεις αν αντεξετε. Ταξιδι διπλο μαλλον σε cb500x θα πηγαινα.
