I had the same problem with my Yamaha RX V459, but I have no service document about it, just I tried to replace the same capacitor (22 nF 630 V) and it works now!!! Thank you very much!
Ive got a RX V371 (No sound) and an RX V581 (No Power). Got them for 500 bucks for the pair. Going to see if I can get them to work. I had a look at the V371 and saw the STK433-330 IC looked dead. Looks like the V581 will be an easier fix.
hi sir let me ask something about yamaha rx v459 amp.my yamaha rx v459 is working not normally.when turn in surround mode or tone mode sound is lost.when turn off surround mode and tone bypass sound is appear.why sir?pls tell me what should i do.
I have a VX 459 but audio only plays through the speakers from the multi ch input , I don't get sound through the speakers from any other the other inputs. Could you advise me how yours was playing through the speakers on the CD input like yours was?
Hello there! I'm sorry, I don't understand English very well, especially from the video. What was the reason? I changed the capacitors in the power supply, changed the quartz, changed the processor, but there is no generation on XL1. Thanks!
Hi Stavr, it sounds like you have a deeper problem than what was covered in the video. From experience all I can say is make sure ALL the screws are properly screwed in, it sounds stupid but I have had so many headaches because the grounding screws were not properly screwed in
hi there i have a similar model and i wanted to try this because mine stopped working but when soldering the new cap on i ripped the soldering pad off the board. i want to know if i can solder that leg onto the other resistor next to it named r3034 because that looks like its the only way the trace goes on the board and for these types of caps there are no positive and negative should this be okay ?@@ChristopherdeVilliers
Hi, maybe try the protection reset procedure for your amp. It is listed in the service manual. Also does it work normally if you use the front panel to turn it on?
Hi yes but not using the serial port. I couldn't get anything useful from it so I used an ESP8266 with an IR LED. Since I didn't have the remote it took a while trying different protocols and command formats.
Hi Anton, I will reply in English for other people also reading this. Start by testing the amp on different speakers and wires. If that does not work try a factory reset (Read the service manual for this). If that still does not work then depending on your electronics abilities see if you can find and fix the broken component otherwise you will have to take it to someone who can. In my other Yamaha amp video a factory reset did the job. Groete en Sterkte
Great. Thanks for your fast reply. U can view in this video what i'm doing (replacing IC stereo amplifier STK433 330.... or trying it hahaha) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zv0lICmTyUw.html
Hi, I need a bit more info like which inputs you are using with which settings as well as what is providing the signal. Also how bad is the distortion and is it always present or only at high volumes? Regards
@@ChristopherdeVilliers Hi. I connected the optical one. coaxial. and tried all analog ones. the receiver is connected to a computer and cd player. the settings are also tried everything!!! After include, it works fine. then after 1-2 minutes, the distortion starts as if there are too many high frequencies. Can listen but it's not pleasant. distortions are always present. at low and high volume
@@ChristopherdeVilliers Hello. Today I gave the signal directly. without signal selectors. the problem remained. Measured the voltage as in your video 7 minutes. I have 17 volts instead of 10. in sleep mode. in operating mode 13v. Other voltage is normal
@@ChristopherdeVilliers hi, I just can't find anything that should have 3 outlets 😪😪I have the same yamaha, but here I would like to try to replace, I replaced the capacitor, but I still can't turn it on , thank you very much 🤗🤗
Hi. TO THE PUBLIC... SKIP TO 16:25 on the timeline to find out the solution immediately!!! Consider wasting your time watching the whole video afterwards to see the bigger issue, and to learn the right approach towards on how to efficiently solve your trouble with video instructions and to be critical when deciding on the use of source, posting the video jkust like this one... TO THE AUTHOR... Firstly, I do appreciate the effort. And it is obvious that you are honestly trying to contribute towards the community. that is why I am respectively only pointing out overlooked responsibility you (we all) have to take in to consideration...Almost immediately it gets obvious that you are an ellectro enthusiast who went a bit further and got yourself some fancy equipment to go along your interest. Otherwise, regarding the surroundings, the tell tail signs of you not being an expert at all are as follows: 1. Incorrect way of isolating the issue/problem, 2. Pointless explanation of the service schematics, 3. The fact, that you found the solution elsewhere, not by yourself, 4. At least, NO real expert technician would consider bringing water in any way of containment near a workplace of this nature, or as being a part of this surrounding anyhow! To sum it up, what I am saying is that you should at least explain yourself experience wise, and what you are going to try, why, how, etc. Finally, you should post this video completely differently! The whole first part is totally unnecessary, pointless and a waste of time in all aspects and walks of life! What is there to like? Why should we subscribe to your channel if this is to be expected? Do you understand the problem here? You are misleading us all the way until you reuse someone else's solution! And you then wrap it up as the video on how you've solved the issue by yourself as someone experienced and as a credible source of knowledge and wisdom. Hope you get the point and the intention I am trying to make here....
Hi, well yes I am not a technician who works on these amps every day. Fixing an amp is a learning process for me and going through the schematics and service manual is a great way to learn. My troubleshooting procedure does need some work but keep in mind I only do this because I find it fun and I want to share the process I follow as well as the mistakes that I make. I do not like video editing and it that's why I do not post more videos on topics that I find interesting.
