I wouldn't say it's a must have for everybody, but if you are gonna wheel it hard or put oversized tires on it it's a good idea because the stock belts are not designed to handle the extra stress. Thanks for watching.
The reason your drive belt is destroyed is simple. You are abusing your Yamaha by pulling too much weight and foolishly working it beyond its capabilities. Those belts are warranted for 10 years and you ruined yours in 300 miles? You bent the rear frame by pulling logs with a machine that is not designed to do that. Don’t blame Yamaha, it’s operator error and stupidity that caused the damage. 😂 I own a 2021 Yamaha Viking and it’s a great machine
I agree that its a great machine. I never layer blame anywhere but myself. The frame isnt bent. That one little plate is a little chewed up, but ill replace that easily when i decide its to far gone. I might be foolish from time to time, but I am not stupid. I dont need your approval of anything I do in my life. It's my machine. I paid for it. I'll do what ever I want to do with it.

When you were running your hands around the clutch and flywheel areas wondering what caused the belt to be damaged, I got the impression that you didn’t realize the problem was the operator. Otherwise why did you act so perplexed about the belt damage as if you expected to find rough spots in the pulleys? Anyway, have fun with your Yamaha
@@edwardl.990 I'm well aware that I beat the hell out of my machine. Honestly, for what I've put it through its a miracle that it's still alive at all. I've been so happy with how it has handled the abuse that I would certainly not hesitate to buy another one if this was damaged and not repairable. Thanks for watching.
