I ended up drilling out the main jet with a #49 drill bit that makes it about a 180 main jet and a stock pilot jet. It has no washers under the needle. It runs great with no popping at all, I have a straight pipe exhaust on it now (my newest video) and k&N air filter absolutely tuned in perfect......
Awesome build. I’m working on the same bike myself. I see you’re running the one carb and I’ve got the exact same setup. Was hoping the deleted stock carb wouldn’t screw with power but I see what I got to do now. And I’ll prob be using a craftsman wrench instead of snap on lol.
Hi, I was wondering if you built the forward controls by yourself? I really like their look and I sure could use some advice on what parts to use and etc. The kits that are for sell dont really achieve the look that I want. Yours look very simple and sturdy.
yes, I built them out of some 1" pipe. I welded a bracket on them so they would bolt up to the front motor case bolt and used Snap-On combination wrenches for the actual foot controls with some split collars (from Grainger) to lock the wrenches onto the pipe. Worked great and you will not see other people with them.
Stock frame modded, removed all passenger pegs & center stand mounting tabs and smoothed them in, also removed the old stand off's for the original carb under the neck area.
