In this episode, I will change the brush set and the chain slider. I will also tell you how much the total costs.
Even that it is still November, I already started the preparation for my Magadan trip. I have to eliminate all possible problems. I believe that this will help me to have a trouble-free trip. Of course, there is no way to predict everything but at least I can try. Everything you do before the trip will help you during the trip!

That mechanic is a motorcyclists dream...The cost of labor is a great price..this type of mechanic is always experienced, willing to work with you and squeeze you in for last minute repairs. I wonder what a dealership would have charged you for all those repairs. Because, most dealerships don't want to repair parts and instead replace them...

Another great video Pavlin - Of course the cost of the work may not seem cheap now (although it would be two or three times that amount in the UK) but it is money well spent and you were wise to have the work done before setting out on your long and demanding Magadan trip. If you had not and had a serious breakdown half way through where the only mechanic for 100 Kms works with an axe and a shovel you would SERIOUSLY regret it ! - Now you have the peace of mind knowing that the jobs were done and that they were carried out properly by a good mechanic who obviously knows what he is doing - The trusty Tenere is ready !..
@motorcycleadventures
@motorcycleadventures 3 года назад
Absolutely agree. When the trip stops because of something that I can prevent the regrets will be much bigger than the price paying I have paid now.

Great intro. Too bad we will not see some custom 2m long pipes going up or long swing arm or other "upgrades" :D. Well riding motorbikes (and any machine) is not just filling in tank with gasoline. Sometimes service is neccessary. In my opinion if the machine carry my ass for so many km it also deserves from time to time extra care. 1000+ euros will hurt any wallet. But the fun you had for those 100 000 km is well worth it. You can think of it also as 1 euro for service per 100km. Not bad :-). So hopefully it will give you another 100 000 km of smile and happiness ;-)

Hi Pavlin, nice video and the price is good, for an next adventure to Magadan you have allmost a new bike now. It is much cheaper then a new bike and the adventure will cost a lot of money. You can drink a beer more. I have one question. I know you loved the Mitas tyres. Will this be your tyre for your next trip? I ride the same bike with almost the same lugage as you do and the last tyre i try was the Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR. I can highly recommend this tyre because of the distance this tyre can handle. Last set of tyres fit for 15.000 km. Just check this tyre before you go. Please let me know what is your choise of tyre. Thanks and all the best for 2021. Greetings from Holland.

Dear Pav, your Tenere rebuild makes me very happy man my friend! Give me confidence in my own 09 Tenere with 27,000 miles/44,000 kilometres on the clock. One problem I have with the Tenere is, it has terrible head lighting! When switching to main beam, there is a blackspot for 10 - 15 metres between the bike and the start of the mainbeam! Do you find this on your Tenere or have you made any modifications to your headlights at all? Thanks in advance. Regards, Dazza. 🇬🇧

Great to hear the the videos helps! My lights are the same, but never worried about it for a few reasons: 1. I ride in the dark only if I have to. 2. When it is happen I just slow down. Never found a good reason to improve the light or add some aux lights.

@@motorcycleadventures - many thanks for your reply my friend! I must admit, for this reason, I also do not like riding at night. But just sometimes we are later returning from a ride than expected and it becomes a problem. I’m considering some very small, lightweight auxiliary lights to fill in this void. Even reducing speed dramatically leaves me a little uncomfortable! 🤣 I find myself trying to not use main beam at all and just ride slower in dip beam. Regards, Dazza. 🇬🇧
