looks like doug worked overtime trying to get it straightened out, but once the issues were fixed you could instantly tell it worked perfect. Great job fabricating the kit to make it work like a champ.

Tell me about it. Bought a turbo kit and new ecu from them with the tune and paid loads of $ to ship it across the world to break my engine i threw the kit out and paid about 8k for a new closed new engine.
Excellent video. Pretty amazing that a supercharged yxz with only 5 pounds of boost is holding its own against the high boost x3's. I'm real happy with that. Not at all happy with the packard lack of instructions and kit that doesn't really work out of the box. I guess with any new kit there is going to be some glitches but it sucks when the consumer is having to find the issues for the builder. At least everyone is happy with the final product's performance. I'll just put this one on repeat.. :)
Hah thanks Danny! We're really happy with the performance as well. We are still looking to get Scott's long term review on the kit but it seems as if its so far so good.

There's a guy that goes to Bundy Hill that has a Turbo on his YXZ, very fast!! It's a yellow one like Doug's. Good video guys! You guys need to find somebody with a RZR turbo now, good races, and comparisons.
Doug building his own turbo kit over winter would make a great 3 or 4 part series. You could set up a give away of some kind or start selling shirts to help fund it.
The UTV companies should be given you guys Utvs because you are selling more by posting theses videos then any commercial is. I'm going to sell my ATV and get a UTV now myself!
Yes I havent given up on the YXZ yet! For some reason deep down inside thats just the machine that does it for me. Hoping I can come across a deal on one already set up. I've come across a few. Like you guys my buddies and I aren't afraid to take a road trip for a good deal. Its all about the adventure haha.
If you guys wanna try making your own kit the supercharger head units are 150-200 shipped they are AMR500 sized head units they also make smaller amr300 Head units but that kit you bought is a 500

It's nice to have a guy that can install a supercharger he's never done before without instructions and troubleshoot it n figure it out. I'm alot like him, who knows more idk, who cares, but imagine all the other guys installing these kits and running into those problems... they're screwed. Good video though and Packard needs to get their shit together.

AppalachianMountainRiders You can supercharge them, turbo them etc etc. It's either you spend the big bank and get a custom kit made or wait for the industry to do it.

bad thing with the super charged yxz is that the belts and pully hardware is not going to last, in the dunes the sand will destroy them and in the mud and water there will be slippage and grinding of aluminium , and if a rock or stick gets in a blown belt

I'm curious to see how much boost the amr500 supercharger can make with maybe a differrent pulley and stiffer spring in the waste gate. I'm hoping I can get at least 8 to 10 out of my agency power.
I just finished it last week I'm taking it to a dyno. I'm still trying to get everything dialed in. And working out some minor bugs. only thing that sucks about the agency supercharger kit so far that I see is the boots keep popping off their plastic intake manifold the Packard was much nicer billit.
And the blower belt gaurd broke from rattling around just driving around the block a few times. also take note the lower throttle body boots will not stay on unless you take the clamp spacers out or put smaller ones on. I learned the hard way. but if everything is done right it definitely rips as soon as you touch the gas.now I'm trying to work out the blower surge at idle. not sure if it's supposed to do that I need to contact vivid racing today to see if that's the way they tuned it
Maybe I'm watching these videos out of order- but I was much more impressed with the fly wheel upgrade video. I felt it made it almost hang with the X3 and for a small fraction of the price and way way less labor and headaches?
So, my ignorance will probably show here.... Everything is turbo right now and to be honest they are getting amazing results. In the day turbos were all about running flat out and super chargers would give you monster off the bottom power all the way to the top. Has anyone developed a super charger with the appropriate engine modifications to make real power in the yxz? I know they can make huge power since dragsters run blowers.... not turbos.
I think 10lb is the limit with this charger. Packard is working on a twin screw blower that is putting out 20lb+ Should be released In the next couple months.
I got it pretty early on when I first drove Doug's YXZ but its easy to forget. I haven't actually put any trail miles on a YXZ so we'll see how I feel if/when that happens.
