There's so much misconception about capitalism and advocation for heavy government intervention in the economy, which never worked in practice. Sweden had a very heavy socialist economy in the 70s and it didn't work and they switched back to a capitalism based economy, which is how their current public programs are funded. People should advocate for laws that prevent rent seeking behaviors, such as reforming Intellectual Property laws and ban on corporate donations to government officials.
