he is a narcissist, incompetent person who almost put an entire country into a dark journey with no return. Luckily he was immediately removed. A huge liability
@@100sailorman From what we can see, from the people who agreed with the post above, it seems that you have much higher than average intelligence. Or maybe it's the opposite. I lean more towards the last hypothesis
@@franciscorosa760 Social media comments do not provide a complete or accurate picture of a person's character, capabilities and impact on various contexts. Having said the above, to understand Varoufakis impact on the Greek economy, image of Greece and relationships with other countries, you need to study his actions, behavior and interpersonal relationships. Varoufakis damaged the Greek economy in multiple ways, some say the result of his incompetence cost Greece up to 100 bb euros. With his confrontational style, lack of pragmatism and alternative solutions, his unprofessionalism (he was secretly recording meetings with other EU Finance MPs) contributed to increased tensions with creditors, leading to 3rd even harder memorandum which in turn close the banks and prolonged the financial crisis in Greece. Confronting someone with insults (implying my intelligence is below average), reveals your level of intelligence and social background and you should be ashamed for your comment and your self.
Glad everyone can see through what a hack that journalist is, and what a restrained, intelligent statesman Varoufakis was. He's still worth listening to.
What a rude and smug woman, Yanis Varoufakis is a world class gentleman who is working hard you only have to hear one of his talks to realize his sincerity. 👏
LOL... does anyone still take Baroufucknuckle (who was dropped kicked out of government by his "comrades" for being a treasonous stooge with delusions of adequacy) and his contradictory waffle (depending on who's paying or silly enough to listen) seriously any more ffs? Time to wake the fracking hell up! It's slimy treasonous "populist" scumbags like this that are undermining Europe!
You may as well lump CNBC, Breitbart, Bloomberg, BBS, FOX and all that rubbish into one steaming pile of BS. It's disgusting that I can't trust a single one of them to get factual information from. Especially anything to do with politics. The closest one that seems somewhat unbiased and trustworthy that comes to mind is Reuters and they're far from perfect.

Sam - If you think Yanis is smart, you should meet my Uncle Aristotle who runs the souvlaki joint down the street from my place: he can keep over 100 orders straight, while flawlessly calculating bill sums in his head, tending to the grill, and yelling at the kitchen staff, all at the same time...
@@dorianphilotheates3769 politics can be the highest virtue Becoz so far it has corrupted everyone who entered in its net, So he should be up to the task,😎
this is the insect level, midwit psychopath who called for home secretary of Engaldn to be deported from her country for having the unacceptable, illegal THOUGHT that immigration should not be completely free and unvetted... given this, this clown has no choice but to sit there and applaud as he himself is being deported for his unacceptable opinions and thoughts... just be thankful it wasnt anything worse, which he obviously wished upon her
Yes, she is a liability to everyone she knows. She had the opportunity to ask about their plans, strategy etc, but she decided this will be a better use of her chance.
He did the right thing. If someone isn't interviewing, just pretending to interview to use the interviewee as a platform to express their own views, the right thing is to walk away.
The problem is that media organizations are not REQUIRED to state their own bias to the viewers before they broadcast. Imagine if this media outlet had to title this video "reporter for the rich comforts Yanis, a progressive politician, who ends interview".
CNBC, Fox News and almost all corporate American "news media" are not really in the news and reporting business as this "reporter", Julia Chatterley (how aptly named), clearly shows. They are rather in the "news sensationalism/entertainment" business. That is their true mandate. Proper, ethical, traditional news reporting and informed journalism would otherwise be very boring and would not be able to fill enough hours of air time. So in the absence of real news and journalism, air time is instead filled with rampant speculation, innuendo, ambush-style interviews, third and fourth hand sources and mindless partisan debates often featuring screaming matches. The Economist news publication remains one of the last credible and most enduring news media sources left on the planet Earth. Unfortunately, a relative very few in this world actually read it or have access to it.
I don't blame the reporter (pawn) so much as the persons that instructed her to push that line of questioning … CNBC has most certainly given me reason to pause before watching them again
She decides to work there, and she doesn't have to do so. Unfortunately, we (the few of us who actually watch CNBC) must continue to do so in order to let people know what the elite think about the masses. It's right there in the open, and if people would only watch CNBC for a few weeks, we might have a very different society. Their disdain and utter lack of care and concern for the average American is not hidden.
This is a great example on why American press is so bust. They have always recruited dreadful reporters and journalists whose professionalism is not more likely a piece of trash
Andrew in Cent. Florida - Given that CNBC (or was that Microsoft?) has seen fit to keep this clip up for +6 yrs., we can be sure they are running stats on comments & clicks. Wonder what kind of advertising/promotion/nudging the Cosmic Algorithm targets us for..... .
The weary bemusement of Varofakis at such a pathetically transparent hit job, by this Wall St. owned toy-poodle, is palpable. And, the smug, casually cruel, "elites" continue to cluelessly wonder why they are held in such contempt by the vast majority of people throughout the world.
What was the message here???? The experience here was that one person let the dead bury the dead and the other person was left in the hereafter of the former matter.
