It was 74 degrees in AZ. Yanks weren't prepared for that blistering heat. Yankee players didn't get their usual adrenaline rush having to dodge hoards of criminals and muggers to get to the stadium.

I think this next game is going to say a lot about what kind of team they REALLY ARE. If they can battle back in game 3, I will have a lot more faith in them. They don't necessarily have to win, but they have to show some fight. If not, changes must be made soon.

@@spaceghost4474 It's still early in the season, I'd take everything with a grain of salt, including that nice 5-game win streak we had. If we're heading into May with Judge/Rizzo/Stanton still not producing and Nestor still playing like he is then yeah I'd start thinking about some stuff.

Zack would have shut out the 1930s Murderer's Row Yankees last night. His pitches were electric - even in warm ups. I wouldn't worry about the Yank hitters.

I believe Judge will wake up. Stanton looked good in spring training because he was hitting against mostly minor league pitchers.

Yankees had jet lag. Game ended after 1 am Gotham time, and the players were terrified all the no-bail muggers was waiting outside the gates.

@@DaryMatera They are wild, and throwing too many pitches. These are major league pitchers and something is wrong with their deliveries. It's his job to find the problem and fix it, they've been in spring training for six weeks, this is inexcusable.

Yankees fan since 84. They will win 85 to 88 games. The lineup is still weak, rotation as well. Pen is decent, however not a championship team by any stretch. Judge and Stanton are older and can no longer catch up with a + fastball anymore. Judge was late on 92 all night, and Stanton has to start his swing early now that father time has come for him.

Its been ages since they had a losing season, and I mean, they have to crack eventually, right? 🥲 Like you said, they don't have the makings of a playoff team; I was a Jeter fan growing up, and you could just tell when they had it and when they didn't. They are still too damn loaded on offense, tho.

His peak years were the last two seasons... It's all downhill from here.
