I have seen the recent reports of DCL to Newcastle United now being off, this video was obviously recorded before the news came out on social media. Minteh is still leaving the club this week as things stand despite the Everton move now being cancelled
It’s criminal to think we are getting rid of one of the best young talents we’ve had in years and we still have the likes of Almiron, Longstaff and Wilson on the books.
We’re not selling Minteh to buy anyone. We’re selling him because we need to make around £20m to avoid breaching PSR before June 30th and the Saudi league’s window (where you’d expect Wilson and Miggy to go) doesn’t open until July 1st. I don’t get how people aren’t understanding this?
@@vivovivere9858 Chelsea haven’t broke PSR, ironically because they’re in such a good position with their finances partially due to how well they sell young players. Man City’s situation is a massive investigation of 115 breaches of different financial irregularities over years where PSR rules weren’t as stringent, not one breach of PSR in the current climate for which the punishment would be a cut and dry points deduction next season like Everton and Forest got. Why would you take a points deduction to keep a kid who’s never even kicked a ball for us and had half a good season in Holland?
Such good business sense to sell Minteh. It means we can spend bigger this summer and boost the squad. Minteh could be class but it's like a 400% profit on one year, NO BRAINER.
agree...but spending that money DCL just seems a waste of the cash tbh. he's 27 so won't have much resale value, and has the same injury prone issues as Wilson. I'd much rather see us get a spread of minteh like players, lower risk, more financial upside, more long term footballing upside. We're not in Europe this year so there isn't an urgent need for a high level 2nd striker.

Swapping Minteh for DCL will be a mistake, small club mentality when we need a right winger anyway. If other clubs want to make a point by ruining their squads let them, we’re supposed to be building
@@BigDom61 i watched him a lot for Feynoord mate right now he's raw af, lacks alot of the goid stuff, he's fast, he's tricky and can grab a goal or 2, but he lacks the defensive side of things, unable to use his space well and struggles to find space he's very raw, i seen him get shouted at a lot by the players and subbed off a few times because he wasn't doing what Slot wanted him to do he frustrated a lot of people and not been bitter i dont think he's right for the EPL he wont be able to cope with the physicality of it in 5yrs time maybe he might be a goiden but he will be loaned out January by Everton if they sign him. And i can't see how he fits into Dych's football he's everything Dych dosent go for lol

Us selling Minteh I think was planned from the day we signed him, I think the same was supposed to happen with Kuol but he didn’t make the impact we thought he would but it’s all to do with FFP, Dan Ashworth as much as I dislike the man this is what he was brilliant at when he was at Brighton.. finding these young gems for peanuts knowing the club would sell them on for a big profit (bissouma/caicedo etc) Minteh wasn’t a player for the future he was a money maker to help us with FFP
There's clearly some meeting with the PSR threatened clubs helping each other and I am here for it. I just don't want it to be Minteh can we not sell Miggy and they sell us Onana? lol the only thing I think about DCL is he started as a winger, could he fill the squad space when Miggy leaves AND a back up striker to Wilson? Possibility, we know EH likes versatile players. I think Wilson would go to West ham for 18mil over Saudi. He still has a good 2 seasons left in him maybe more. Personally want him to stay.
@@paulstones1451 nothings been decided yet has it ? And it goes on what the lowest club earns within a season i heard so if a club earns 150m all in from revenue only then thats what all the other teams can spend only.
This is poor vision by the owners. Will also set a poor precedent for any future young players who are thinking about signing for us to develop their careers.
I personally think our interest in Calvert-Lewin is not true. It could be the club or the agent playing with us to benefit from it. For me it doesn't make sense at all that we're interested.

"injured all the time"?? he played 38 matches last season, his return will be better in a better footballing team. As 2nd choice, decent back up to Isak.Several teams in for Minteh, raw and unproven, buy back clause essential, but I can't get too upset if it helps us keep our best players.

Lewis Hall will have him in his back pocket, i watched Minteh quite a bit for Feynoord and we really aint missing much 100% can be a great player once he mature's but very raw ability players constantly shouting at him, getting subbed quite a bit because he dont track back has a lot to learn and i don't think he will cope with the physicality of the EPL
Dcl is not a good player his record shows that has only hit double figures twice we are actively trying to sell wilson who is the better player worrying the way the club is going on the transfer front
