This presentation was developed by TransdevTSL in 2004 to define the company's highly successful first five years as the inaugural operator of the Yarra Trams franchise in Melbourne, Australia.
The company, MetroLink Victoria, was a 50/50 joint venture partnership between Australia's Transfield Services and Europe's Transdev.
MetroLink Victoria introduced the city's first low-floor Citadis trams, constructed the first platform superstops, extended key routes and refurbished neglected older rolling stock while enhancing Melbourne's enduring love affair with it's trams.
It was also a founding partner in the establishment of Metlink to provide coordinated network-wide passenger and ticketing information across all bus, train and tram services.
On 30 November 2009 Keolis Downer EDI Rail took over the Yarra Trams franchise from MetroLink Victoria after winning an international tender.
Presentation written, produced and directed by Andrew Heslop.
