Yasser is such a likeable guy. His books were my first- who would think a book on openings could be a page turner. Absolutely love his commentary and he makes me happy just by being him.

Yasser is the man. He became a GM at 19 years old and was the United States Champion for 4 years! He is one of my favorite chess players ever!

This is totally a young man's game. Thirty years ago, Yasser would have scored 60+.

We created the first ever prototype of puzzle rush style tactics trainer. Yasser said that the inventor of puzzle rush had a thing about rooks. Well to create the Puzzle Rush database requires searching the chess.com tactics trainer database for number of moves to mate or win of material. The rook up exceeds significantly what normally would normally be considered winning material since the puzzle are already filtered so the side to play is the winning side in all cases. Winning a full piece is normally a good cut off point.

Yasser in a " RUSH " sounds pretty weird :) i usually speed the videos to 1.5x speed if Yasser commenting on them. But i really love him tho :) Listening his voice is like getting a theraphy session.

When you're a GM 30 is bad, 40 is average, 50 is good and 60 is a record. When you're a newbie like me 10 is bad, 15 is average, 20 is good and 25 is a record… Depressing!

Yasser's voice in this video doesn't seem to match his voice in Chessmaster 9000. I guess when he grins or smiles while he is talking has an effect on his voice. In Chessmaster9000 his voice sounds much deeper.

Don't do it Yasser, it's a fucking addictive disease. After long hours I find myself seeing puzzles everywhere in my daily life, even washing dishes feels like a puzzlerush - is this dish OK to wash first? I don't wanna make a mistake, may be I should wash another dish before that one.
