Yasuo Infinity Edge vs Trinity Force Build - League of Legends 

Pretty much agree with everything here. The Triforce build is way safer, the IE build is way stompier. I personally prefer the IE build because I am a very simple man. I like to do damage, so it fits my play style way more since I can usually at least farm decently well in most of my games, even if I'm in a bad matchup, and get my items in a timely manner and start being an assassin. And something that he hinted at but didn't really cover in depth is that with the IE build, you can build your lifesteal item way faster than with the Triforce build. Personally, I value lifesteal very highly, so I like to get it as my third item. Again, both builds are really good and I think it comes down to personal preference. Redmercy prefers Triforce, I prefer IE. I don't think there's really a wrong answer here. That's just my 2 cents.

As an almost 2 year long Yasuo main and testing builds around myself, I say the triforce build is cuz: 1) mana wasted. 2) AD + AS is low. 3) crit runes are must cuz it will REALLY help ur lane and overal game. 4) ur Q has a 1,33 sec CD while Sheen has 1.5 meaning NOT every Q is gonna proc sheen. 5) Tri's cost is high (as stated in the video) but just to high for the small bit it gives. 6) IE is just better in any perspecive (more crit, more AD, and crit dmg). 7) items like BT, Bork, Hydra, zhyper etc are just better cuz not only are they cheaper but give better stats Yasuo needs after his IE + Shiv (AD, sustain, Shield, AoE proc, tenacity, slow, % dmg etc). 8) u'll have less crit then with IE (60% vs 80+%) AND lower AD while crit + ur Q & R all 3 have huge AD ratio's.

Hey Red, what do you think of going trinity as a first item? I actually like that build path more cause an early phage really helps you alot. My experience is that you dont rly need to crit alot in the early laning phase cause thats the time where you are stong anyways. But obviously it sucks that you get your core item way later :/

+Redmercy I thought they started using triforce because of the tornado (3rd Q) change : it will proc everything regular Qs already do even sheen iirc, which made triforce a really good item (Phage procs+sheen procs+ statikk procs ranged) .

As a long time yasuo player i'm old school i really like the Shiv,IE,BORK build i run 10% crit, mr blue and armour yellow and 3% MOVE SPEED quints i cant remember where i got the idea for move speed quints for it might have been a redmercy video but for me it works really well in laning phase and throughout the game chase down potential is huge with 432 move speed with second tier boots

@redmercy what do you think about ghostblade on him instead of tri force ?

My personal most consistent build that i've used since Yasuo has came out has been Statikk -> BORK -> IE -> LW. This build path always seems to keep me ahead and if I lost lane get me back into the game.

I feel that the sheen proc on the triforce counteracts the 10% loss to crit on his passive as it's applied more frequently which is better imo than a straight IE rush and the frequency of the Q's with attackspeed and the phage is nice but great vid :D

Hey Remercy , ive been plain Yasuo from almost when he was released (and after the balancing changes im still enjouing plaing him ) . My thoghts on Yasuo is "tankssassin" is always win , i mean phantom dancer with infinity edge makes 100% crit from 2 items , pretty important , cause u can get 3 tanky items with 3 offensive items togheder . My build is like PH ; Infinity ; BT ; Randuin ; Spirit visage then (never seen on other Yasuos ) frozen mallet (your q aplies the 40% slow !) . If u have the correct masteries , u can have around 3.5k hp , 100% crit chance with 20% livesteal (when u do 900 per hit its a lot) and slow/basic att (whitch u need a lot of "skill" . I think thats the perfect build in Yasuo , but its lategame dominant , early u just miss the shiv dmg , but latter on u rek them even 1v3 or 1v4 , just too much sustain and dmg as well . Hope u understand my way to see things . All the best !

Dear Redmercy, how do we know where we're gonna dash after u ult someone with yasuo?? Cause u can go like anywhere if im not mistaken.. Unless there's a way to ult someone and be behind them when landing

I think you forgot a very important con on the triforce build. Because if you do that build path, i find it that i lack lifesteal. Maybe i buy a vamp scepter, but still, it does feel a Little awkward, since i finish it later on. I do still think that the triforce build is better tho, but it might be a bit harder to learn. Just my opinion. Any tips to fix this?

I've been playing the Triforce build ever since the changes to crit items, since I needed a new way to deal with the changes to crit chance. Nothing has changed to make it strong, only it becoming popular due to it being played more. Now I'm crafting more builds for Yasuo though and I found a ridiculous yet very risky Juggernaught Yasuo.

Well, How about the Statikk->IE->Botrk??? Botrk gives you lifesteal, more attack speed and more damage on beefier targets and is also 503 gold cheaper than the Tri-Force. So, you can go for statikk->vamp scepter->IE->Botrk and have those 3 items much sooner and also deal a lot more damage to anyone who comes at you and also kill towers quickly enough. Even in normals, where mirror matchups are common, i go for Statikk->IE and they go for Statikk->tri-force and if i win, i snowball hard, if they win and i farm hard, i always get ahead as soon as i get my botrk. Botrk gives way more dueling power and overall sustained damage and more AS. Also, what items do you exclude from your build to get the trinity? Without LW, you can't oneshot any squishy fast enough, and the less bonus armor they have, the weaker your ult buff is, so, someone with high base armoe and enough bonus armor to have a 100 effective value will reduce your damage output by 50% best case scenario and with a ninja tabi and/or a randuin's omen, your damage goes bye bye. Anyway, i would like to know more about your complete build and tactic when you go for the tri-force build.

I prefer the IE build. Trinimmortal a yasuo main who is a youtuber explained this subject as well, you get to your sustain from bloodthirster way before you would with the other build, yes triforce gives you hp AS and movement speed, but blood thirster gives you a sheild and sustain to survive in fights if you ever have to fight more than just 1 target.

most of the LCS players and solo Q players now adays go shiv and then botrk and triforce and ie after. The bork works so damn well with his kit helping him assassinate more targets.You can then get a bloodthister or a last whisper also along with berserker greaves and the furor enchanmtnet or ninja tabi or merc threads could also work.

Shiv-IE-Iifesteal into lower cc match ups where you doing a lot of damage and healing asap is huge Shiv-Tri-IE into teams with some cc or if u want to take advantage of phage movement speed for kiting and or chasing

It's still an item slot that could have been filled by an extra item. if you go for the infinity path you need only two item to get 100% crit chance , while with the trinity path you need 3 slots. so its sometimes better to go infinity path so you can get bloodthister as your 3rd item cuz you need lifesteal asap, and if you go trinity path you get it 4th item, put in boots and you are left with just one item slot to adapt to the condition of the game.

Is it just me or Phantom Dancer, Infinity Edge, Merc Treads or Ninja Tabi, Bloodthirster, and two items of your choice a better build than shiv?

I finally got around to getting Life Steal Quints since they cost quite a bit, as well as Yellow Health Runes ; ; I'm using Yellow Armor for now, but I wanna try and gather just a little bit more IP before I buy a set of the Yellow Health, since I really want to start using it for other Champions too, not just on Yasuo. I also didn't know why people prefer Triforce over IE myself before watching this xD All I knew was that during September, Yasuo started making it into big news because people are playing Triforce on him, and I didn't understand why because Triforce was always there for him to begin with.

I like how do you talk about it, without know why the Triforce is building right now, its not just because the IE nerf, the Q Buff now aplyes on-hit efects.

I had more succeaa with the normal build=infinte edge. Ibthink the stats feom triforce are definetly not worth 3700 gold, cause you don't get exactly 100%crit. You would get 120% wich isn't possible. I don't run crit in my runes and it still works out better (for me) than triforce. When did the crit of infinite get nerfed?

you dont need any ats in runes with the triforce build since your q cooldown caps already with those 2 items!

i remember , back when yasuo was released , i got flamed for not building statics -> ie , but going for 3 force after statics. that happened pretty much every game

If this comment doesn't get lost in the sea of comments, I would reccomend you trying it out. Beserker's Grieves, Statik Shiv, Phantom Dancer, BoRK, BT, Hydra. with this build you can have 100% crit without runes. You will be squishy, but if you run mr glyphs, armor seals, flat ad marks, 1 flat ad quint and 2 lifesteal quints, you can easily survive with 40+% life steal. You will have about 440 move speed, and 460ish with third dragon buff. Your attack speed is about 2.00. You don't need Last Whisperer because of ult passive. If the enemy team builds Randuin's Omen to counter your crit damage, or if you are super ahead, you can switch Shiv to IE, giving out more damage against Randuin's Omen or anybody. Ravenous Hydra and E Q combos will make up for Statik Shiv area of effect electric bursts.

My Yasuo build: IE Phantom Bloodthirster BORK Ravenous The IE + Phantom gives 100% crit chance, plus the extra AS and the ability to move through units from Phantom, which is a nice perk for an assassin like Yasuo. I think that Phantom is a better option in general over Statikk. I then build life steal with BORK, Blood, and Ravenous which gives me around 200+ health for every attack, which goes nicely with the incredibly fast AS. Roughly 900-1000 DPS and the insane life steal makes Yasuo pretty much unstoppable unless he is hard stunned. This build helped me carry so many games (even on bad days, I could do pretty well because of the damage output and the life steal), and got me from Bronze 1 to Gold 3.

Why max E first? Wouldn't Q do more dmg?

Ah yeah I remember when I build Trinity force before, some people were complaining that it wasn't a good item on Yasuo. Now everyone is using it...I hate this sheep community....

i love how in older days ppl say triforce build is bad and now its the better build~ in my opinon triforce build got higher brust damage over all once u get 3 item+ while triforce build have 2 item power spike compair to the triforce 3 item spike and with IE build u have to know what you are doing because if u can't snowball a IE early then you won't be as useful for the team while the tri build even if u do fine or a bit below u got higher chance to come back & u can split push better but the triforce proc got cd so u usual proc it twice every 3-4 Q and it is true that triforce build gives u more tankyness which is pretty important mid game but don't do much late game since everything 1-6 shot u while IE build u got to be more careful as if u get cc down u're pretty much dead while their is a slim hope for triforce build since 250hp=somehow save u(lives with 3hp is op) the movement speed on the triforce helps while chasing but u can just get clever on IE build and works the same and it also gives u ar pen and cdr for your w & r.and if u wana troll get lw lol. the different is that on IE build your build path is more open and is esaier to adapted while triforce build is more fix but safer overall.on the IE build u got to more tatical as u only have shiv for atk speed which means less chance to proc 3rd Q while triforce build gives more atk speed so u can screw up more with your Q and still get a ult.

I was told by Emta (Challenger) to go 5% rune page crit, Statik to Trinity to Bloodthirster (+alacrity) - lots of movement speed, bloodthirster (later into tank items) and enough damage

Looking at your final build it looks to me like the question isn't Tforce or IE. The question is Tforce and better runes or 10% crit runes and another flex item. Static, boots and IE are happening in all builds, except a few odd ones. This leaves 3 slots and I would fill one with bloodthirster for the huge lifesteal. 2 slots remaining and you got randuins omen and I agree. So the final question is Tforce or a misc item for complete build. If you don't take 10% in your runes you have to get Tforce to get that sweet 100% crit chance (unless you overdose on crit chance with something else, ghostblade maybe?). If you take the 10% crit chance however you have more options such as spirit visage for extra lifesteal and magic resist if their ap gets fed, guardian angel if you are hard carrying and get focused early in fights, zephyr if they load tons of cc on their team, Tforce is still and option if you want the utility but you would be throwing the extra crit chance away with the mana, or last whisper if they have too much armor because your comp forgot magic damage. I feel like Tforce's utility at the end of the day doesn't justify the loss of raw damage early or the itemization in the end game. Just my 2 cents.

Here i am with the build path i choose on yasuo that's neither of those, i know some maybe do it but i'm almost the only one right now lol but i really like it, what's the build? Statikk obv as first item, BOTRK as second item, IE as 3rd, and then i go trinity/bt (or something else if i need it like qss/mercurial or hextrinker or whatever it is more useful) and for last a defensive item. Now, the items are standards, not the order, why do i choose this order? It's quite simple, i reaaaaaaaaally enjoy getting early attack speed on yasuo, and getting botrk not only gives me a lot of attack speed but also some lifesteal+the active that early game is very useful to catch enemies off-guard and to duel almost anyone if i'm not behind, while phage and sheen passive can be good they just don't fit my playstyle in the 15-25 min mark when i need to buy three different items to get trinity and i delay a lot of my damage and i'm almost counting only on my statikk shiv. I don't dislike the trinity tho, i know that getting trinity as 4th item can be very difficult due to slot issues but i don't really mind just because i already got my 3 core items, i already got tons of crit, attack speed and AD, and that's what i mostly need on yasuo, anyways, this is just my opinion, i just don't think a doran blade can't sustain me well enough before i get my 4th item and when i'm yasuo backing a lot and not farmin is the worst idea i can have. Now sorry for the wall of text and probably not the best english but i'm not english so... there's that xd

I prefer IE over Triforce because like Trinimmortal already said, I value lifesteal over raw damage. If I am put top lane I can see the Triforce being far superior considering you usually would be running teleport and be able to split-push. My main problem with the build is it takes up one item slot that I could use for pure tank/survivability. Yeah, you get 300 health and a nice damage boost but I would much prefer something along the lines of a Banshees or an Omen. They both work really well and I'm glad no ones doing something stupid like Phantom Dancer into Youmuu's (Yeah people actually like this)

Am I the only one who likes to play the tri force build with crit damage reds and quints? I know theyre 10% less effective but yasuo builds about 2x the crit chance of other ad carries so that increases their value. Also with the IE build I get a lifesteal item second, not third. When did that build path change?

I will never understand why people deny a melee carry's biggest powerspike just to get some HP which means nothing in teamfights. The Phage proc is the only thing that's really helping Yasuo. And there is an item out there that's cheaper than tri, offers a lot more HP, gives armor shred and 20% CDR for your wall and ult, as well as the phage passive. Triforce costs as much as IE and gives way less damage. I mean WAY less. Having 100% Crit in 2 items instead of 3 is huge on this powerspike-reliant champion. The sooner you get IE, the sooner you can start carrying, even if you're behind.

I build shiv, triforce, IE, bork, and GA. I works well for me, but have I been doing it wrong the entire time?

You made a minor mistake in the IE pros section. Should be 10% crit chance in rune page, you accidentaly put 20%. Of course Yasuo's passive makes the 10% into 20% in-game, but you don't actually need to put 20% crit chance in the runepage.

I have a question I like you to do it in the league of myths: If yasuo has sheen, does his Q AoE damage is amplified with the sheen effect?

Recently I've been going Titanic Hydra as last item for banter purposes and it gives fairly decent stats. I'd recommend trying it if you're a filthy casual like me.

No armor on Trinity runepage style..? Personaly i go for 10% on runes and build IE , its more reliable that IE in my opinion , but not that much consistent (since trinity gives ms , as and hp...) but really nice vid , congratz.
