1. A voyage
Das Hessische Zupforchester (HZO) wurde 1969 vom BDZ Landesverband Hessen als überregionales Auswahlorchester gegründet. Seitdem haben sich zahlreiche Musikerinnen und Musiker im HZO über den aktuellen Stand der Zupfmusik informiert.
Ziel der fünf Arbeitsphasen im Jahr ist es, anspruchsvolle Musikliteratur zu erarbeiten und unter qualifizierter Anleitung das spielerische Können zu erweitern. Die erworbenen Fähigkeiten können die Spielenden in ihren jeweiligen Heimatorchester einbringen. So profitieren zahlreiche Zupforchester von dieser Form der instrumentalen Fortbildung.
Mit seinen rund 20 Spielenden hat sich das HZO einen festen Platz in der musikalischen Kulturlandschaft Hessens erarbeitet, insbesondere durch Konzerte, die Teilnahme an Musikfestivals im In- und Ausland, die Produktion von bisher vier CDs sowie durch mehrere Konzertreisen. Seit
Mitte 2016 wird das HZO von Annika Hinsche musikalisch geleitet. Sie studierte Mandoline in Wuppertal und Boston/USA und gibt international Konzerte als Solistin sowie im „MareDuo“. Sie unterrichtet Mandoline an der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Standort Wuppertal), der Universität zu Köln sowie Kammermusik und Ensemblespiel an der Hochschule Osnabrück.

The Hessian Plucked String Orchestra (HZO) was founded in 1969 by the BDZ regional association of Hesse as a national select orchestra. Since then, numerous musicians have informed themselves about the current state of plucked string music in the HZO.
The aim of the five work phases per year is to work on demanding music literature and to expand playing skills under qualified instruction. The players can bring the skills they have acquired to their respective home orchestras. Numerous plucked string orchestras benefit from this form of instrumental training.
With its around 20 players, the HZO has established a firm place in the musical cultural landscape of Hesse, in particular through concerts, participation in music festivals at home and abroad, the production of four CDs to date and several concert tours. Since
mid-2016, the HZO has been musically directed by Annika Hinsche. She studied mandolin in Wuppertal and Boston/USA and gives concerts internationally as a soloist and in the “MareDuo”. She leads a mandolin class at the music school for the district of Gütersloh and teaches mandolin at the Cologne University of Music and Dance (Wuppertal location), the University of Cologne and chamber music and ensemble playing at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences.
