Awesome shave and review. I agree all the updates made were well thought out and made a much better razor. Definitely one to stay in my rotation. I love this one more than the original and love that the new handle is usuable this time. Have a great week buddy

We did not. I talked with Jake and he said the earliest he could see any going for sale would be Tuesday or Wednesday...so this is AWESOME!! I am really excited that today was the day I dropped the content for sure !!

The first one was good - and the V2 appears to be just as phenomenal. The performance and post shave comfort were right up there with any of his razors. You'll have to let us all know when you get it!

The razor came in, first shave was nothing short of phenomenal! Minimal blade gap, but extremely efficient. Not a hint of irritation or weepers. Can’t wait for my next shave. Top shelf razor! 💪

Damn, that is a great looking razor! Yates is on my short list of razors I want to get (wishing they would do a SE). They sell out so quickly. Great sounding soap there. Love your intro, you really made the razor stand out. Great video as always.

Nice! It looks great and it seemed pretty efficient. The handle is pretty cool too, while retaining the overall look of the old one. Really a lot of different options in their razor lineup to chose from. Now that you've called this a modern design, I'm just waiting for a vintage razor to pop up that did it 80 years ago-lol! I've never tried that soap but it sounds a lot like Melange fro B&M. That one isn't particularly sweet smelling though and this might be a good one for me too.

Personna BBS-1!! VERY similar. Another one is the Schick Krona surprisingly that also has this angular shape and somewhat sets the angle for you. 👍😱 They exist for sure 👍 Thanks for stopping by my guy, yuppp, very efficient and very smooth shaver right here!

Looks fantastic! I have their Merica Ti razor which I enjoy immensely! Jake is a great guy to deal with, couldn’t recommend Yates more! I’d love a comparison with the Merica if you can swing it!

Nice review. I just ordered from batch 2 yesterday. Stoked to try it. Jake fixed the lather ports and handle from last version which held me back. I like the 921h so hopefully this works for me. Henson and Overlander comparison. Even though my username has Yates in it… not affiliated with Yates manufacturing.

I’ve heard others say this winning v2 is more efficient than the Karve overlander. Would you agree? What razor would you say it compares too for blade feel & efficiency?

My friend thanks for watching and for dropping a question. It's hard for me to compare, it has been a year ago that I used the Overlander - but I will stay if memory serves me correctly - the new V2 Winning Razor is noticabley more blade feel and more efficient. When I used the Overlander it felt like a Henson Mild to me, whereas the V2 Winning Razor feels much more like the Aggressive model (for a lack of a better way to describe it). The Karve was probably a titch smoother to be honest. I liked the Karve and got good shaves with it, but I think based on the shave I would reach for the Winning Razor more often. I like the angle, the skin feel, and the post shave BBS slightly more with the Yates razor. All things based on YMMV - just my thoughts after using the new V2.
