I fell in love with fluid painting because I found your channel (and Riska and Molly). Even before you started the introduction I was thinking about how you'd mentioned there has been some negative criticism of your newer explorations. I thought about how crappy that is of people and it made me sad. The reason I love watching your videos is because you openly share and explore and sometimes fail right before our eyes. It's an absolute inspiration. It's helped me in my own artistic exploration because I pretty much fail constantly right now. You have demonstrated such grace and love for creation and artistry that it's just impossible not to love everything about your channel. I think it's more helpful to look at "failures" as necessary to success. Nobody succeeds on their first try at something, and if they do its probably a fluke. If you are "failing" it means you are trying! Thank you for inspiring us and being vulnerable.

I wasn't sure where you were going after you started with the gold and then it was a white base. But as always, it worked out beautifully. I love those areas with the orange cells, they are my favourite parts. The colour combinations are gorgeous!

That turned out very pretty. I’ve learned from all of your courses that I have taken. And I am very pleased with how I am growing in my art. It’s so exciting to see the progress. The one Technique I just can’t seem to get down, however, is the finger swipe. No matter how much I practice, it never comes out good. I’m not going to give up. But I am working on some of my own techniques that I’m making up. And that is so much fun. Thank you.

I find that gesso with a crinkled plastic bag, works just as well as the pricier mixing paste.

Hullo Olga, thanks for sharing your encouraging thoughts at the start of the video! You are truly inspirational and so generous with your ideas and techniques. I am always encouraged after watching one of your videos! You have a wonderful way of creating original ideas into your pours! I recently purchased a jar of transparent modeling paste for creating some watercolor ground! I am using Liz Chaderton’s recipe and it is just so easy to use and a lot less expensive too! I know sometimes just finding watercolor ground is not easy and the small jars? I have often felt like I was at the butt end of some companies joke! I like using a wood panel and I have done everything from the watercolor ground to gluing watercolor paper down onto a more firm surface, from Masonite to birtch panels. Thank you for sharing another fantastic painting idea with us! I am aghast at how seemingly easy your beautiful picture’s appear before our eyes! Thank you.

Very interesting! I’ve been experimenting a lot with texture myself and enjoying the process. (Although I struggle with the patience required between layers 😬) But I am having fun with it! Have you considered a stencil in the center? (I love doing stencils 😁)
