Hey, Ian! Thank you for all the great material you provide for us synth mortals. I was wondering if you could help me deicide? I've been eyeing both the Wavestate and the Modwave and I'm having trouble choosing. What I need is to be able to play pretty decent piano, Rhodes, B3, a variety of mellotron samples and vintage synth strings live. I'd like to be able to combine (layer?) these to make patches like Rhodes with a strings pad underneath. It would also be cool to be able to turn a sound, like a B3 to a pad of it's own. Which synth would you choose for this kind of scenario? Cheers!
If you don't need wave sequencing I would go for the Modwave. You can create old analogue synths very easily (see my patch sets). You can layer four samples or synth layers at once and get a real analogue sound
