Joshua Heckstall no what he means is that some people have a about an inch of hair that are not part of any dreads that they line up, this stops that hair from being pulled and damaged because it is the hair people lose first when going bald. Some ppl tho lock all the front hairs into dreads which can result in a receding hairline

See my thing always was with my hair, before it was long in the front and shorter in the back. And then the back was thick and the front was thin. Then I shaved my head in the beginning of this year and now the back is thicker than the front but the front is more curlier than the back and when I got box braids to get myself in the habit of having dreads before I get them, I front of my hair is curly at the tips but in the back is very blunt and looks like dreads

I know this may not apply to everyone, but Gunther, I think you should make a video on your lighting setup and how you record and edit your videos. Ik you did a video like this before, but I'm pretty sure you've made changes since then. Also, how do you not get glare on your glasses from the lights?
