One summer as a 12 year old boy 60 years ago I was blessed to run into 2 of the Lord's Elders of Israel, they changed my life by teaching me the restored gospel and for that I am eternally grateful.
Sang this song one Thursday morning in the Nauvoo church bathroom because of a tornadi struck down right outside. Will always be grateful God let me live to be one of His Missionaries.
No unhallowed hand is going to delay or distract or destroy the Lord's work here in His kingdom. (Babylon slaves will try to no avail). Our time in Wyoming at Martin's Cove was so special. At one of our tour stops, all of us on the tour bus were couples serving at the handcart sites so all of us Elders sung this song for our wives to hear.
I remember when I was young, and I think this song was sung, for my first Stake priesthood gathering for General Conference. I’d never been in a big chapel full of priesthood holders before. The Spirit was incredible as this song was sung.
i just got done with Trek 2018, and we sang this before the women's pull. I am now going to forever cry when i hear this song due to the memories of this trek.
We didn’t sing a song before the womens pull :/ in fact our stake President was having an angry talk with us for not being quiet when they told us to cheer for the yw 💀
I have a testimony of the Power of the Priesthood and so very thankful that we have this Priesthood on the earth today. May the brethren of the church always stay strong and be in tune with the Spirit to keep this Priesthood in our lives.
On my mission in the Duesseldorf West Germany area, ('75-'77) Babylon seemed very near indeed. We sang this song frequently to help keep our spirits up. It was a tough mission, lots of tracting hours to report and very few baptisms but this song helped us through.
What a beautiful message: to keep covenants and fight not with powder and steel but rather with selfless service and the priesthood on behalf of those in need.
Wonderful music by the Mormon Choir. . .very soothing. Helps me to remember and reminisce my missionary days in California Ventura. . .Truly love the Father and His Son (Jesus Christ), for all they have done in MY life. Will be eternally grateful for their support, generosity, guidance and counsel throughout many years of living on this planet.
Ah, a cult classic that hails back to times that are long gone. As an apostatized ex member of this corporate business posing as a religion, I approve of this song. If only this church was actually true. Good jam though. Love the old hymns.

I used to love to hear this when the priesthood when sing this and I would be in a different room.totallly awesome hymn!At the end of the hymn book I think?
Fear well Babylon wickedness was never happiness. Shake off thy dust gird your loins and FEAR NOT for our lord has a marvelous work and wonder for us to do . Man is nothing 😇💞.
Why do they slow down everything SO much? Such a strange choice. Why can't there be some liveliness in this of all songs? Sorry I just really do not get it.
